Publisher's summary

Rule #1: No hot guys.

It might sound ridiculous. I get it. It kind of was, but college was supposed to be my sanctuary. It was my place to start over. The rumors, the whispers, and the jealousy I endured through high school would all be gone.

No one would know me at college.

Rule #2: No drama.

I'd major in pre-law. I'd make a few loyal friends. Everything would be easy-breezy. No one was going to use me or hurt me. I wouldn't let them.

Rule #3: New year. New place. New me.

Right?

Wrong.

And all because of Shay Coleman.

Football captain and quarterback, he was the big guy on campus. The cocky guy in my political science class with a smirk. I hated him on sight...and he was about to break all my rules.

Hate to Love You is a full-length standalone. There are elements that deal with the dark side of college.

Ok book, good narration

I did like this book but it felt like there were too many side stories happening throughout with not enough conclusion to each one. I won't get into it too much because I don't want to spoil it but there are at least 3 major events that happen and the last one is just weird. I thought it was a strange way to end the book and it really didn't make a lot of sense to me. If felt rushed and unnecessary. I liked both the MCs but definitely enjoyed Shay WAY better.

perfect college romance

I really enjoyed this book! I'm a couple years out of college and I found the setting and time line to be refreshing and honest. couldn't get enough of Kennedy and Shay.

Did Not Like

This book was awful from the start! In fact, I didn’t finish it. The main character was so negative about EVERYTHING! I just couldn’t listen to another minute of it! Save the credit!!

Great weekend listen!

When I need something entertaining, but easy to listen to, I turn to Tijan.

This particular story is centered around college life, the star quarterback and the freshman scholar. As in the past books I have listened to Tijan takes the time to develop secondary characters just enough to make you interested in what happens to them. I enjoy a good low-key listen that entertains and leaves you with a good feeling when you reach the end of the story. This book fit the bill completely. I found it more than credit worthy and the performance was very well done.

College romance

I really enjoyed this story. The characters weren't exactly what I exspexted but in a good way. I enjoyed the banter and the relationship building, not just between the main characters but between the sub characters too. Hit on the topic of fear and overcoming it in a various ways relating to various forms which I appreciated seeing a broad spectrum of. Definitely enjoyable to listen to. Savannah did a great job with narration and her voice acting really fit the characters but she nailed the heroine, and fit her more than the others. Another great story by Tijan, though it's not exactly like some of her other titles, so don't go in exapexting that. Enjoy it for the story it is.

the love story was well writen and it dealt with deap issues in a very good way. the relationship didn't seem forced and the development of the characters made you connect with them.

Too many cliches

The story wasn't realistic to me, it was packed full of cliches and stereotypes, and spent more time on rape and assault than romance and love.

Awful

I will never read another book by this author. Omg, it has no plot, the female lead is so incredibly selfish and whines about everything. She hates a guy that has literally never done anything to her. I couldn't finish it. I hope someone pushes her off a cliff on the end.
