Publisher's Summary

When a narcissist "love bombs" a target, it's the same as the wicked old witch who lures children with her house made of cake. Hansel and Gretel wake up from a blissful sleep in cozy beds only to face a twisted nightmare.

With obvious sexual metaphors and symbols, it becomes apparent Hansel and Gretel are in a dissociate state experiencing serious abuse at the hands of a narcissist stepmother. But what about the father, the woodcutter? He would rather pacify his overbearing and evil wife than save his own children from being ripped apart by wild animals in the forest.

Learn:

  • How love bombing keeps you in an altered state that creates a dangerous situation for yourself and others.
  • How to escape the witch woods so you aren't left with major psychological damage and scars.

A fresh new voice!

This author is really great. She's been to hell and back and tells it like it is. This isn't some silly woman who relies on her looks. This is battle hardened old pro, who's been stomped on by life and gets up and says 'thank you sir my i have another.' A truly dark--and yet oddly uplifting--work.

A striking contribution to a new field

The author is on the cutting edge of MBTI research. I read her books carefully, and couldn't be more delighted with her new choice of narrator!

witty, wry, fun

Other reviewers are saying that the author is 'post-gender' and a 'feminist.' Not so sure about that, but I am sure that she's awesome! If you haven't read/listened to her books, you're in for a real treat. And her new narrator makes all the difference. (When she self-narrates, the results are, shall we say, mixed.)

Finally....a Real Feminist Role Model!

This woman is who she is and she's proud of it! She's seen the dark side of humanity, and she's here to tell you about it, all of it. Not for the faint of heart, but a must-listen for womyn of an analytical mindset. This isn't some silly young thing who's worried about her looks. She's way past that. She's running through the woods with enemy guts in her teeth, and showing the patriarchy who really wears the pants in this day and age! And I love the narrator!

I finally feel safe

I've been love bombed, but I didn't know it until I listened to this wonderful little book. My boyfriend blew hot and cold, using me like a rag doll, then throwing me away just as suddenly. I mean, I like it, a lot. But my sanity was taking a real beating, and my dignity was pretty much a thing of the past. But then I listened to Laura Cone. She's been there, taken the abuse, and just left by the side of the road, like so much road kill. But does she crawl back to her abuser? No ma'am! This is one strong woman. Two parts Incredible Hulk, one part Mean Joe Green.
