Bloody Good

Well written story that grabs your attention and holds it to the end. Excellently Narrated. Highly recommend!

MM Vampire Romance

I loved this book. I am not sure how to write a review without the spoiler tag, as I want to dish about the whole thing! It was sooo good. First, I will try not to be too spoilery...So, first you have the characters, Ethan, the very old vampire who is a mercenary and then you have the very beautiful and musically talented Tristan who is deeply bruised from a rough start to relationships with a terrible boyfriend. So, Ethan believes at first he is just looking out for Tristan in that he watches in waiting to make sure he is safe...well that is bit like a stalker, which Ethan does understand that it is wrong and he shouldn't be doing it. But you know, he doesn't quit, and we are better for it! I loved this about Ethan, he was unapologetic in his pursuit of Tristan, but he also knew when to pull back when he was getting to close, especially after their relationship progressed further. He knew he could not do this long term without breaking laws...Fast forward a tiny bit of separation and Ethan finds Tristan after being stabbed and thus begins their forever love in the form of vampire transformation. This is when it took on a bit of a lighter tone, in that there was no chance of them being parted after such.

I truly enjoyed every aspect of this read, and while my first by this author, it is only the beginning. The writing was impeccable and the storyline was intriguing. I just adored this book, narration, characters, side characters and storyline. Very well done.

i've already read and loved the book. it's a hot and sweet story with a good plot set in an intricate world, with compelling characters. particularly good if you like a size or age difference in your couple.

Interesting twist

It’s rare for a story like this to be from the point of view of the vampire and it was nice to have the twist. Some of the dialog was a little cheesy but it was a good story. The narrator wasn’t the right fit. He wasn’t a bad narrator (though the accents for some side characters were terrible) but he didn’t seem to be the best fit for this story. It needed someone who could do dark, gruff and sexy, and this missed the mark. But it didn’t ruin the story, just could have been better.

Way more than I expected

Sara Dobie Bauer is new to me but, boy can she write. this is a really good vampire book. lots of smoking hot 🔥🔥 sex scenes. Ian Rockland is also new to me and his performance was so awesome. he really brought this story to life and gave each character a personality. I will definitely look for books written by Miss Bauer and narrated by Mr Rockland.

Stalker vampire romance!

Handsome Death is hot, low angst, insta-love, gay vampire romance. I wanted to like this book more than I did. I usually like more darker angsty books. I did like the worldbuilding and that the story is from the vampire's point of view, but the story is a bit too long.

The narrator is very new, and the character voices were a bit off but I really like his voice.

If you love broody, handsome vampires and hot, low angst books, you are going to love this one!

Picking up the ebook

I really really really wanted to finish this one but I have been struggling. I'm not sure if it's the narration or the story itself... I enjoyed the first part of the story, specially the beginning.. but a few chapters down, the struggle became real.

I will finish reading it with the ebook version on my Kindle and hopefully, I'll be able to finish it. The audio version didn't cut it for me.

I'll probably pick it up in the future and hopefully finish the audio book then.

Unremarkable

Perhaps the story would have come across better with a different narrator. MC was supposed to be from France, but sounds like a construction worker from the Bronx.
