Publisher's Summary

Kelly Harper has no interest in egomaniacs like Dan Jenkins. She also has no patience for the entourage of groupies who follow him while he basks in their attention. Her experience with her ex-fiancé has taught her to steer clear of guys like Dan who see women as no more than a pretty face to parade around.

Dan Jenkins is something of a local celebrity. His charm and good looks ensure he never lacks for female company, but truth be told, he finds their attentions shallow and superficial. No one bothers to get to know who he really is. Trouble is, Dan's not sure he knows either.

Will Kelly be the one to figure out who Dan really is behind the good ol' boy facade? If so, she just might discover a man she never expected - a man worthy of her heart.

Weak storyline with monotone delivery

The saving grace of this audiobook is that it is short. The storyline is not compelling -the female protagonist is two dimensional at best. I am hard pressed to recall anything memorable about her and I just finished listening to this. The male protagonist is more interesting, but that may be because he is a more fully developed character. The narration is flat and the narrator has an odd accent -either Canadian or upper mid-west. it is distracting and does nothing to improve the story. Also, the recording quality is low. I am a regular audiobook listener and I cannot in good faith reccommend this at all.

a sexy sweet Halloween read

If you are looking for a quick read and like cowboys, women that don't want to be walked on and a cute Halloween tale this is for you. The narration is ok and made it a fun book to listen to while doing chores.
I did find out this is a short story spun off of a larger one so I did feel a bit lost at first but it is a stand-alone and works just fine once you get into it.
