I've enjoyed this series so far I recommend them all, just make sure you start with book 1 Discount Armageddon. I guess you could read them individually but they work best in order as you learn more about the world as they progress.

fantastic story, lackluster narrator
the story is great. A+. Crow and the mice make it.
the Australian accent the narrator uses is bad, verging on offensively racist and stereotyped. this threw me out of my enjoyment of the book as a whole. had amy finnegan simply read the book, rather than attempting to "do the voices", I'd have enjoyed it more and not spent 12 hours listening to racist caricatures of my accent.

Great story, dreadful Australian accent attempt
I read this book before I bought it as an audiobook, so I already knew I loved the story. Sadly, I almost didn't bother finishing listening to it.
I'm Australian. One of the characters is Australian, and although I've really enjoyed this narrator in previous Incryptid books, she completely mangles our accent. And by mangle, I mean that it's pretty well unrecognisable, or so incredibly broad that it sounds like a parody. I stopped listening to the book after the first few sentences from Shelby, and let it sit for months. I've now finally got back into it, but I'm still being jerked out of the story each time 'Shelby' speaks.
It would have been better if the accent had not been attempted at all.

Only Australians Can Do Good Australian Accents
I liked the narrator but she was just not capable of doing Shelby Tanner’s accent. Non-Australians just can’t do the accent. Every word out of Shelby’s mouth was so jarring and parodic. You always need to get a real Australian pinch hitter to do this kind of work, it’s the only way.
