I was swept away from the start!

Not only is this an engaging story from the very beginning, but author Kassandra Dick is also an excellent voice actor, she brings the characters to life making for a most engaging listening party. It was hard to pause this audiobook, I kept wanting to know what would happen next. You crawl into the mind of a nicotine addict and get to know his perils, peeling away layer after layer to discover complex disturbances leading to a suspenseful ending.
I listened to this audiobook while on the road, and the long drive just flew by. I have listened to many audiobooks and stories and this one stands out, don't hesitate: add it to your cart already! Your ears will be rewarded. If you love horror, suspense, engaging characters, the world of EMS and first responders and can handle disturbing scenes, this one is for you! The book is situated in Vancouver, Canada. Can't wait for future work from this talented author. Recommend!

Intense Yet Subtle Psychological Intrigue!

An Excellent audiobook! The author has a deep and insightful grasp of the moment to moment subtleties of how human beings think, act, and interact. This knowledge of hers is the medium through which she generates mystery, tension, and suspense. A mystery of the human psyche unfolds in a gripping, believable way. The originality of the plot will have you constantly not knowing what will happen next. The intimate knowledge you will gain of her characters makes you really care about them, making the suspense of not knowing what will happen next almost painful. The book is narrated by the author herself and she does a great job of voicing her different characters. She is dramatic and expressive but not overly so in a way which draws attention away from the story itself. Get ready for intrigue and horror!
