Hold on, it gets better.

The beginning or first half I struggled with, there were no answers and continuously produced mysteries that made no sense. Suddenly a chapter began and I couldn’t get enough, answers poured in and deep lore was like rapid fire. In the end I very much enjoyed the novel and recommend it to any Halo fan who wants to know more about the Forerunners, Promethians, Flood, or in general some backstory to the 4th game.

The overall experience was great as a listener. 10/10 would highly recommend to Halo fans.

is it that hard for narrators to look up pronunciations of names before they read the book? oh well. otherwise excellent read

Fantastic!!!

As a fan of Halo lore I was completely engrossed in this story. Many of my questions that I have accumulated over the years were answered but I still have questions that I'm sure will be answered in future novels.

very good storyline but the forerunners are far to usa human. heck even the humans feel more "alien"

At first, I thought this was the next book in the canonical order of Halo books. I believe I was mistaken. For me, I struggled to get a hold of the story and put this audio book down for a time. Perhaps I'll be more interested in the second book.

I enjoy it

the biggining is a slow start but once it gets going it becomes very satisfying.

are they really do work together as different species.

it's nice to know when you've played a game for so long. that there is more to the worlds than what you play.

Greg Bear delivers the goods

I was worried that the epic power that Bear brings into imaginations could be lost when writing for a franchise. It was not. Fantastic, mentally stimulating, and a great addition to the Halo universe.
