Excellent A-Z guide

I have read a lot of books about training dogs, but the specificity of this one is what makes it so great. I don't think there is a better top-to-bottom guide for training a bird dog. It's well-laid out and comprehensive. Great narration as well.

Starting with what breed of dog to select, tips, tricks, training habits a basically everything you need to get an obedient dog, coupled with an array of informative methods to complement that training with getting the best out of your dog on a hunt. IF you're looking for a hunting companion, you're getting to be pushed to find a better guide than this, excellent!

Invaluable resource!

The audible it exactly what I was looking for but now I am getting the book to have the information on hand with tons of highlighting. I plan to get several of gist other books now because the training really does work. My kids listen to a chapter each night so that they can follow through with techniques and we can all be on the same page as a family. Positive reinforcement training is the way to go, and I'll never train any other way.

I learned a lot

A whole load of valuable information I would have never been able to think of. Clever ideas about using things like bird scents and principles for training your dog using rewards on your terms. Even picking the right dog from the start is covered well.

Great info

I go hunting deer and have just bought a pup. This book has all the info I was looking for. teaches u all about what pup you should go for, how to train them up for birds, or whatever u are hunting. how to teach them basic commands, the equipment needed, the myths, and how to keep them healthy. also a fun little quiz as well

After you listen to this, you will know everything you need to know to get out there and start hunting! I personally love this because sometimes its nice to have a hunting companion. And it is better if they are trained!

Reader is unbearable

The training ideas are solid but the reader is soooooo slow it makes this a near unbearable listen.
