Publisher's summary

This short audiobook is a memoir of a guinea pig and his family, set in the 1960's through the 1990's.

Mr. Bridgette was a real guinea pig adopted in 1995 by an animal loving family in a small northwest Ohio town. The family owned a variety of pets over the years. Among the most memorable pets were the guinea pigs. Mr. Bridgette was given the honor of writing his story. He remembers the details of his life as if it just happened yesterday. Mr. Bridgette tells about all of the author's childhood pets: cats, chickens, a guinea pig, a white mouse, a hamster, and a gerbil. Also included in the book are the tales of some of the author's pets when she was an adult: hamsters, guinea pigs, and cocker spaniels. This short autobiography includes 11 photos of Mr. Bridgette and his family and friends.

From the author: After writing memoirs about my cocker spaniels and my cats, I thought it would be fitting to write about my "pocket pets". All of the stories in this audiobook are true. Although the memories of my beloved pets have faded a bit with the passage of time, this guinea pig memoir was written to the best of my recollection.

Don't wast your money

This is really short. Im not shure who would injoy it either. It is not very interesting. Basically it tells the story of all the rodents someone had, i got it because i like Guinea pigs but it dose not have much to do with them.

Guinea pig tales

Any additional comments?

This is the story of one families love affair with Guinea pigs, mice, gerbils and hamsters.I actually learned a thing or two and I am a rodent lover from way back!Who knew that a group of Gerbils is called a 'business'?
Laura Jackman reads this book to us.It seems a bit dry but is great for learning things."I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author in exchange for an unbiased review via AudiobookBlast dot com."

Stories of death

My 16 year olds and I howled with laughter because of the absolute horror of this book. (although the book was clearly not meant to be funny) We have guinea pigs and I thought this would be a collection of cute anecdotes. Instead, it is little more than a list of the various rodents these people owned, their names, and how they died, (or lost body parts) with some random general facts about various rodents thrown in. Unless you have an extremely life hardened child, with a very dark sense of humor, do NOT play this for your kid. Other than for laughing at the absurdity of this book, I really can’t think of any audience it is appropriate for.

Three blind mice!

Awh this is such a fast sweet read. I am convinced that most of this information is not only new for me but will help other pocket pet owners. Also for children I think this story is a must especially in audio format like I listened to. The narrator has a calm soothing voice and this should also assist to calm children down while educating them.

Really sweet.
