Guided! How to Communicate with your Spirit Guides. Shannon Walbran is heard worldwide on radio every week, helping callers solve their toughest personal problems by channeling direct, specific information. She has been practicing professionally since 2003 and has directly served more than 10,000 clients.

No Guidance Here

My muses have decided to take a loooong holiday, which I can ill afford. So, I'm about as desperate as it gets here. I was pretty thrilled to find this book, and was filled with hope that there might be tidbits on finding guidance, finding help, finding my way back "home" if you will. Instead, this book is filled with snippets of all of Walbran's sessions, and pithy little lessons from them (such as: "I sensed the client had healing powers, so I asked her to diagnose me, and she did."). These were not helpful at all.
Then she goes into a lengthy history of how she became aware of and developed her abilities.
I swear, if there was guidance on communicating with Spirit Guides in there, it was but a pinpoint of light, easily missed. Pass this one up. I'm sure there's better out there.

Feeling blessed to be guided to this book

I loved listening to this beautiful book by Shannon, who is an amazing earth angel ❤ Her voice brought the words to life and transported me to so many places and emotions. The authenticity and depth inspires me to continue full steam ahead, on my spiritual journey. I've had a session with Shannon about a week ago and that intrigued me as she has a magical feeling about her so I wanted to know more hence I got this book. I am definitely a fan and would loooveeeee to hear another book by Shannon.

Misleading Title

While I enjoyed hearing Ms. Walbran's account and pleasant speaking voice, this is not a How To book but an autobiography instead. If you're looking for instruction, look elsewhere.

Guided: How to Communicate with Your Spirit Guides

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, definitely. It is very clear and informative and you can hear the sincerity in her voice. Shannon is very articulate when narrating the book. I especially like the way she describes a scene and/or a person, she gives such concise details such that you are able to actually visualize the person or scene. I also like the way she offers further explanations about a concept or type of practice that may be foreign to a lot of people e.g. a "sangoma". It makes it easy for someone to continue listening and following the story with understanding instead of stopping to Google the word to try and find out what it means.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sai Baba, I am even wishing I could also come into contact with him. He sounds very spiritual, almost like he is not of this world, he sounds like he has reincarnated.

Which scene was your favorite?

Where Shannon goes to a conference with her neighbor and she is enlightened. It’s like she got an awakening and her eyes were opened and she finally admitted to herself that the relationship with her South African fiancé had evolved to nothing more than that of roommates and it was going nowhere.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

The practice of KINESIOLOGY: I had never heard of it until two days ago when I first listened to this audio recording. I am deeply intrigued by it and I will definitely go onto Google to see if I can find a Kinesiologist close by so that I can book myself an appointment.

Any additional comments?

I thoroughly enjoyed this audio, especially because I am not too big on reading books :). I have listened to it twice already in the past two days. I am overwhelmed and I admire Shannon for her open mindedness. She is not afraid of testing out or rather learning more about other cultures and especially religions. She is not afraid to explore. I see that her attitude of openness has helped her open up her world and it has helped her answer a lot of questions that she would have otherwise not have been able to answer had she just decided to close herself up. This has also helped me. I now have a new eagerness to learn new things, find out more about other religions, practices. Listening to this audio has made me very curios and itching to know more. Shannon thank you so much for deciding to write this amazing book. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Thank you for sharing your ups and your downs with us.
