Story
Many people have million dollar ideas. They're confident that their new product or service or innovation will make them rich and that all their dreams will come true. The problem is: Most people don't know how to turn their million-dollar idea into millions of dollars. According to many social scientists, the most important thing in life is a person's social and professional network. In other words, the people around us - our associates, our team, our friends. The people we surround ourselves with - and the people we go to for advice - can mean the difference between success and failure.

Once listeners understand the basic principles of tax reduction, they can be immediately reducing their taxes to the point where, eventually, they may even be able to legally eliminate income taxes and drastically reduce other taxes.

Currency wars are one of the most destructive and feared outcomes in international economics.

The current crisis is not like 2008 or even 1929. The New Depression that has emerged from the COVID pandemic is the worst economic crisis in US history. Most fired employees will remain redundant. Bankruptcies will be common, and banks will buckle under the weight of bad debts. Deflation, debt, and demography will wreck any chance of recovery, and social disorder will follow closely on the heels of market chaos. The happy talk from Wall Street and the White House is an illusion. The worst is yet to come.

What goes up, must come down. As any student of financial history knows, the dizzying heights of the stock market can't continue indefinitely - especially since asset prices have been artificially inflated by investor optimism around the Trump administration, ruinously low interest rates, and the infiltration of behavioral economics into our financial lives. The elites are prepared, but what's the average investor to do?

Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki are both concerned. Their concern is that the rich are getting richer, but America is getting poorer. The entitlement mentality is epidemic, creating people who expect their country, employer, or family to take care of them. And like the polar ice caps, the middle class is disappearing. America is becoming a two-class society, and soon you will be either rich or poor. Trump and Kiyosaki want you to be rich.

Many Americans dream of financial freedom, but they're stuck in dead-end jobs and don't know how to get there. You don't need to be one of them. If you invested $35,000 in the stock market today, it could take 52 years for that investment to grow to $1 million. But if you invested that same amount into one single-family $140,000 rental property, it would only take 19 years. With just two rental properties, you could generate $417,000 in profit in just 10 years. Skeptical? Good, because that's the first sign of a smart investor.

Since 2014, international monetary agencies have been issuing warnings to a small group of finance ministers, banks, and private equity funds: The US government's cowardly choices not to prosecute J.P. Morgan and its ilk and to bloat the economy with a $4 trillion injection of easy credit are driving us headlong toward a cliff. As Rickards shows in this frightening, meticulously researched book, governments around the world have no compunction about conspiring against their citizens.

Publisher's Summary
Here, Buckminster Fuller takes on the gigantic corporate megaliths that exert increasing control over every aspect of daily life. In the form of a modern allegory, he traces the evolution of these multinational giants from the post-World War II military-industrial complex to the current army of abstract legal entities known as the corporate world. I'm a firm believer that anything whose message holds up over the course of time should be reread and shared, this is one of those books. Fantastic book, but could benefit from being a little more "haiku" than essay. Fuller writes words as if they are variable equations. He strings 10 adjectives together in the same sentence. Lucky for me I have spent alot of time around people who are brilliant, but struggle to communicate it. Overall the book was definitely worth it.

Good content, painful narration
The message and story is fantastic, but the narration sounds like a robot or one of those text to speech engines which makes it a real struggle to listen to. Although bucky would like the idea of a robot sharing his thoughts, in practice it's not quite there yet and not as efficient as he would have liked. To be fair the writing is not as fluid as a good writer would have it and the mouthful of concise explanations would be hard for anyone to narrate fluidly... But, a good read and one I will have to listen to again in bite sized chunks.
