Something in Brett's eyes makes Jenny trust him. And what started as a run-in with the law leads to her finding a safe place to stay, a decent job, and the unexpected protection of one particularly grumpy (and incredibly attractive) small town cop.

Jenny never thought she'd be able to trust again. Love was never in her future. But the way Brett looks at her, his patience and understanding, and how her stomach can't stop doing somersaults every time he makes yet another excuse to visit...
