Publisher's summary

Author Laura Cone, an expert on narcissism, explains the lessons of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" that narcissists missed. Are codependent women entangled with narcissists also grappling with their own version of entitlement? What was the Goldilocks fairy tale trying to relay about finding your own man and taking the moderate path?

You aren't settling when you go for a good guy or medium-sized bear. A sense of entitlement is a main narcissist trait, but it's also a characteristic of an immature person who doesn't want to end up like the old vagrant woman in the original version of the fairy tale - impaled by the steeple of St. Paul Cathedral. Learn how to attract an alpha male who is not a narcissist and likes it when you do more than just tumble in his bed.

one of the author's better ones

the point is simply---it's not enough to be cute. you also need character. but the author says it well and ties in the Goldilocks fairy tale, and not just as an illustrative device either. she seems to have accurately analyzed the story itself. the narrator's masculine briskness is appropriate here. the author is definitely a traditional woman and assumes that other women are as happy in that role. not sure about that one, but she may be right. good question.
