I wanted to indulge.... just couldn't connect...

If I wanted to listen to someone complain and moan about their sad pathetic existence and how much life sucks I could call up any Debbie Downer. I read to escape and for fun, this was neither. I'm returning the book.

I tried to give this story a decent chance. 3 hours in and I can't stand how singularly immature this story is. There is no story development, the author circles around the same weak undeveloped story line the whole time. Completely limiting the characters to one woman and a group of men, very weird and EVERYONE is there for her. (How sweet! Rolling my eyes)

The girl is so juvenile, whiny and selfish. It's all about her, how she's so sad, how life sucks for her, how she's the victim. You are on a tour bus, you are traveling, you haven no overhead, you have nothing tying you down. LIVE and LOVE living in the moment. That's what being a tour chick is about, not worrying about tomorrow. No one, especially young men on tour would want to be stuck with a little girl like this. Everyone has problems in life, buck up and either deal with them or shut up, but don't let your main character drool on about how pathetic her life is and woe is me attitude is not appealing to anyone.

Reverse Harem. I kept seeing this description and had no idea what everyone was talking about. This was not my first menage so I knew there would be a lot of hot sex and a lot of emotions. And great goodness there was plenty of both! This story is one full of grief, death, love, loss, mental illness, past abuse, and inner darkness. But it isn't overly agnsty because its focused more on the healing.
The 5 band members of Beauty and Lies are broken and beautiful men. They play their music with pain. Lilith Tempest Goode is the balm to their wounds as they worship her mind, body, and soul. Obviously there is group sex and you can feel their pain and pleasure through CM Stunich’s words. Whatever Lily needs – they can provide.

“I swear, I think I'm addicted to these boys' pain. And not because I want them to suffer, but because I want to save them from it. I want to bandage their wounds and staunch the bleeding of their hearts when what I really should be doing is that same thing for myself.”

WOW, WHAT AN AMAZING START.

These books are so wonderful. I couldn’t stop once I’ve started. TIP; if your in any way not into male on male scenes skip these books. The RH is one my favorites thrust far. I usually do RH so I’m familiar with them but they be paranormal. These books are epic. They touch on love, heartache, pain, death, rape and sadness, & also sexuality. These book is one to remember. Definitely gets my stamp of approval

LOVED... so freaking much

Gahhh!! I just loved this story about Lilith who falls for get 5 rockstars who literally rock her world. So good!!

And the narrators? PERFECT!!

Addicting

I didn't expect to like this so much, but I should have known considering it was written by C.M. Stunich. Both the story and the performance were amazing. Now, I'm off to start the 2nd book.

I love this author. This book stands up to expectations. Excellent writing. Charismatic characters with depth. OMG hot sex. Perfect narration.

great book great narration especially the female n

this is a great book cm is amazing in all things I think this is definitely already a classic RH such a great moving story with really rich well-developed characters. it's emotional and meaningful and insightful and enjoyable all the same time. And the narration was great this narrator is one of the best narrators I've ever heard I've also heard her on the veil Diaries and she's great she really embodies her characters. the male name reader was good too but the female narrator is just the best female narrator I've heard on Audible thus far overall this is a great audiobook so worth it

Romance on the island for broken toys

This is an excellent reverse harem book with the believable plot of all the damaged characters find wholeness and love with Lilith Good. I also love that the story is told from perspectives of all characters in the group.

Amazing Author!!

Loved this book and LOVE this Author. She really puts her heart into her work. This is the second of her books that I have listened to, I listened to Allison’s Adventures in Under Land first and are looking forward to the rest of that series. Rock-Hard Beautiful Series is fantastic!! I’m on my way to book 2 in this series right now. Beauty & Lies ROCKS!!!

Narrators ruined one of the best books ever

This series has been one of my absolute favorite CM Stunich books of all time.. it is beautifully written and the characters are developed so clearly the passion and the angst and the emotions you get everything from this book and like I said it is absolutely one of my favorite series.

Unfortunately these narrators completely destroyed the book. The woman sounded like she was reading a Jane Austen novel instead of a emotional rock ‘n’ roll Hardcore amazing book. And when she did Paxton‘s voice it sounded like Harry Potter. The man who did the guy voices was a bit better except he hardly changed his voice except of course when he got to Paxton. He made Paxton sound like someone from the Peaky Blinders. Paxton is supposed to be from a very well-to-do family in England he should have a proper British accent not some cockney slums accent. That about ruined it for me.

These books are absolutely amazing. Do yourself a favor and read these before listening to them.
