A fantastic addition to the series

This is such a fantastic series that theophilis has created that Sydney narrated to perfection and I can’t wait for the third book

Grim tidings

This story picked up close to where the first one left off. Our happy bright rainbow guy is dealing with his new normal and I wanted to hug him so much. We get to meet some old characters in new ways and get reunited with others in surprising ways. We learn more about the motives certain characters have and I’m getting more curious to see where things are going to go. Especially with the baron and what’s going on with all that.

The storyline is great! I didn’t read the first one yet, but since I liked this one so much I have actually bought the box set. But, I don’t think it affected the storyline much, if at all, to have not read the first book first. I love the idea of voodoo and the presence of dark magic, vamps, etc.

Honestly, the narrator has to grow on you, but I ended up really liking her style. There is some background humming noise that is distracting at first but I ended up not noticing it after a short while!

a dark gritty mythology that keeps you guessing.

This series has some dark aspects and gritty characters. I enjoy the mythology and the action keeps you guessing. I loved this book! This series has won me over! The character development is progressing and I enjoy seeing how the characters mature And learn over time. Often having to reflect on past decisions with a steap learning curve. The mythology is well done and gravitates to the darker aspects to using death magic and it's ramifications. Well done! I enjoyed the narrator she does a really good job.

An interesting listen that I'm curious what happens next. I've noticed that most of Monroe books are in the same world.

Enjoyable read/listen

Grim Tidings (Gates of Eden: The Voodoo Legacy #2), my third read from author Theophilus Monroe . Well written & enjoyable read. Next up Death Rites (Gates of Eden: The Voodoo Legacy #3). I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Sydney Fry's "narration again adds greatly to the enjoyment of the book.(RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Good read and listen

This was a great book. Loved storyline. Lots of humor and action. The characters are quite colorful and the narrator does a good job bringing them to life. Each one has their own flavor by the narrator and makes listening enjoyable. The world building is done right by author and the narrator has done a good job expressing that also. I received a promo code for this audiobook and this is my honest review.

AMAZING

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was an amazing follow-up to Voodoo Academy! It picked up basically where it left off. The characters are amazing and so is the storyline!

This narrator is the best

Book 2 of the Voodoo Academy Series. Annabelle is back at home with her sister taking down vampires and waiting for the academy to re-open. We meet some new characters that we will see later in other series, and I have read some of those before listening to this (I know I am going backwards at time), so it's fun to 'see' them before who they are/become.

We find out what happened to Nico too, so if you wanted to know, you need to read/listen to this NOW. You won't be disappointed.

The narration... OMG, I am loving Sydney so much as Annabelle. She is a new to the narrator world, and she is just adorable! Sometimes her attitude/voice has me dying. I can't wait to listen to the rest of this series with her narrating.

freaking A , why did the vampire chick have to miss everything up? so not cool what she did. And because of that, she freaked everything up for everyone. But I'm curious about one thing: Is Pauli really gay? 🤔 😕 And will they get him back? I hope they do. I really like him.
