Publisher's summary

Captain Colt Mitchell is part of the elite Griffin Force task force hunting down the world's most dangerous terrorists. In this boxed set, you'll get the full-length novel, The Captain, where Colt's mission is anything but textbook, and a novella, The Captain's Christmas Promise, a Christmas adventure romance, all in one set! You won't want to miss a minute of The Captain's Files.

Top-secret missions. An unexpected chance for love. And everything is on the line.

The Captain

A captured operative. A deep-cover intelligence officer. And a dangerous game that could cost them their lives - and hearts.

Captain Colt Mitchell is part of the elite Griffin Force team hunting down terrorist Nazer al-Raimi. After an attack on the Canadian Parliament buildings, the team gets good intel on Nazer's whereabouts. They plan to grab him, but when the mission goes wrong, Colt is captured and dragged away. Bruised, restrained, and disoriented, Colt is stunned to see Brenna Wilson, the Canadian intelligence officer who broke his heart years ago, standing next to Nazer. But how deep is she in the operation, and can she help Colt escape?

The Captain's Christmas Promise

A Christmas they won't forget....

After spending every waking moment hunting the world’s most-wanted terrorist, Colt Mitchell and Brenna Wilson decide to take a break and go home for the Christmas holidays. The minute they touch down on Canadian soil, however, they are pulled into an international conspiracy that would leave the son of a Kuwaiti diplomat dead. Colt and Brenna finally locate the target, but a contract killer is hot on their trail. Retreating to the Canadian wilderness to keep everyone safe, they'll need all their skills - and maybe a Christmas miracle - to make it out alive.

Do not plan on a relaxing afternoon listening to this heart pounding action story

What gripping stories. In the shadow world of black ops and highly trained soldiers this special group is a force above the rest-Griffen Force. They repeatedly battle against and have a personal vendetta against Nazer Al-Raimi who manages to escape their dragnet over and over. In these books Captain Colt Mitchell meets again with Brenna who broke his heart to go into intelligence. They rescue each other and form an unstoppable team. The action never stops as they hop between continents in their deathly game of cat and mouse. Even their Christmas break to visit families gets interrupted by more intrigue.

A nice addition to the Griffin Force series

Having already read the rest of the series, it seemed odd that this boxed set was just book 2 and a related novella. But it was fun to go back and listen to book 2 again. I love Christmas stories, but had my doubts about what a Griffin Force Christmas story would look like. Yet, the author did a fine job with it.

As a military mother myself, who was once surprised by her airman for Christmas, I especially loved the scene when Colt's mother opened the door early Christmas morning to find him standing on the doorstep. Those are moments to live for, and I had to pause and catch my breath before continuing the story after listening to that scene.

Nicely done! I look forward to more stories in this series.

Addictive stories

Colt is the captain of the Griffin Force. When he is captured by Nazer, he is tortured & is not sure how he will get away. He sees an old flame beside Nazer, the terrorist & doesn't know what to think. Is she friend or foe?
The Captain's Christmas Promise: Colt & Brenna think they will get some rest when allowed to return to Canada to be with family for Christmas. But things go awry & are not what they hoped for. This series is excellently written.
I love Tristan Wright's voice reading these 2 companion books. She does an excellent job bringing the story alive. I was given this copy by the author. This is my voluntary opinion.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed the main book, the story was interesting and the narrator did a fine job.

The Captain's Christmas Promise was okay, just seemed not well developed, but that's how novellas usually are.

Fun and Fast Paced story

I enjoy reading the Griffin Force stories, and the audiobooks are even better. The narrator does an outstanding job bringing the story to life. I love how the author keeps the story moving from start to finish.

Keeps your attention

This was the first book that I've listened to from this author. Definitely a lot of suspense which keeps the readers attention. I enjoyed both books.

I thought the narrative was very well done.
