This book will guide you through the most important events that made Britain what it is today. You’ll learn about all the events that British schoolchildren would learn about - and you’ll learn about how they’ve affected history. Each chapter is a survey of an important event, who participated in it, when it happened, its legacy today, and further resources for your own research (along with related films and TV shows you can watch). While we can’t teach you everything, you’ll at least know what that British TV show or movie is talking about when it mentions the Battle of Trafalgar or the Siege of Sidney Street, or the Abdication Crisis.
