"One of the sharpest, funniest voices on YouTube." ( Forbes)

Publisher's Summary

Face it - being a young adult in the digital era is one of the hardest things to be. Well, maybe there are harder things in life…but being an adult is difficult! So Grace Helbig has written a guide that’s perfect for anyone who is faced with the daunting task of becoming an adult.

Infused with her trademark saucy, sweet, and funny voice, Grace’s Guide is a tongue-in-cheek handbook for millennials, encompassing everything a young or new (or regular or old) adult needs to know, from surviving a breakup to recovering from a hangover. Read by the author in her inimitable style, Grace’s Guide features interactive elements and exclusive stories from Grace’s own misadventures - like losing her virginity solely because her date took her to a Macaroni Grill - and many other hilarious lessons she learned the hard way.

Amusing and unexpectedly educational, this refreshing and colorful guide proves that becoming an adult doesn’t necessarily mean you have to grow up.

its Ehh, i love you tho Gracie :*

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

the fact that she reads her own book is great, because shes a great performer but i felt like the book was a bit boring for me. Maybe because the advice felt a bit redundant or inapplicable to my life. It might be because most of her stories are set before i was even born, it might be a great book to someone else though.

Good entertainment for airplane rides

I listened to the whole book while I was flying to spring break. I'm subscribed to Grace's Chanel on YouTube and I am used to great consistent quality, and I was not disappointed. It's not an exciting book, but one for relaxation.
The book was pretty funny, and had a couple of good tips, while providing somewhat of an autobiography.
My only complaint is that I expected to get an overall bigger message from the book, but I don't feel like that aspect was as strong as the humor.
Other than that, I had a good time listening to the book, and made my flight actually enjoyable. Good job Grace!

Better than I had even hoped!

Where does Grace's Guide rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the first comedy audio book in my library and it has certainly raised the bar for others. She perfectly narrates with the sass and clarity she does in her videos. She shares her ups, downs, and everything in between to help anyone who does have their shit together...aka everyone!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jersey hair poof.

Which character – as performed by Grace Helbig – was your favorite?

Graaaace??

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Eat Shit! jk don't that bad for you...Just the tip.

Any additional comments?

Truly Grace thank you for sharing your experience and advice. I am 24 and do not have a clue of what I am doing. You have helped me understand myself and provided much needed tips on how to adult. Thank you.

Great Listen

Would you listen to Grace's Guide again? Why?

Yes. I loved the set up of the books. It is in lists and is organized well. She is so damn funny. While I was listening, I was walking my dog and probably looked like some crazy lady on the side of the road laughing at nothing.

What did you like best about this story?

It was so relatable. There was a ton that I was like "oh hey, I do that too!" she had tips and tricks for EVERYTHING. The hashtags were pretty awesome too.

What does Grace Helbig bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her inner voice. She is a nut and so entertaining.

Amazing Book!

I love Grace in general, she brings so much wit and intelligence to her book. She really helps guide you with real-life experiences she has. It is a great read, especially with the audio book! It sounds like she is actually reading it right next to you!!!

Grace is great, just not amazing...

I love Grace Helbig, and I'm a fan of her Youtube channel, but this offering felt sadly generic and forced. It was funny at points though, and definately awkward, which is Helbig's brand.

Amusing and yet incredibly useful

I love watching Grace's videos online and I think supporting new media is paramount but after having a bit of a difficult couple of months with issues described in the book I've definitely found some of the advice here useful and I'll be referring to them when my anxiety hits a high point again.

Really easy, enjoyable listen.

Would you consider the audio edition of Grace's Guide to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version but I really liked that she was the narrator so it's the same voice I'd be hearing had I actually read it.

What did you like best about this story?

I really liked how relatable and funny it was. I liked how I was essentially just being nosey and learning about her and the world.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

My favourite 'part' of the book was when she was describing her first 'college' experience I think, I can't remember where in the book this is but it was most relatable I suppose since I was on my way home from university.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I tend to read books in one sitting anyway but with audiobooks I find it easier to stop, this was something I wanted to carry on listening to even whilst the ticket man on the train was trying to talk to me.

The ultimate guide to being a grown-up

Grace's Guide was one of the best 5 hours I have ever had, it was fun and whimsical and didn't take itself too seriously. All the while bestowing worthwhile life lessons in a fun and lighthearted way. Grace's Guide takes you on the journey of "pretending to be a grown-up" and living live to the fullest by seeing the good in every situation you're through into. Grace's Guide is exactly what it claims to be. it gives you a fun few hours of entertainment and inspires you to live your life without constant worrying. It is the guide to how to be a grown-up, (while still having a bit of fun).

Couldn't even finish it!

Terrible! No point to the whole book except author saying random comments trying to be funny, which she is not. I managed about 40 mins before turning it off.
