Great Insight

Greeny and Hembo put a beautiful narrative together here. I’m not normally one for audio books unless I can’t afford/find them on print. Definitely worth checking out if you like sports history.

Great read for any sports fan!!

I have enjoyed listening to Greenberg on the radio for 30 years. His passion and perspective as a true sports fan (as opposed to retired player or unemployed coach) is so very relatable and refreshing, and that is certainly the case with this book. You will disagree with many of his assertions but you will enjoy every chapter.

Barbershop talk in a book!

This was a great read and the audio version complimented this fun look at some of the most iconic numbers in sports history! Can't wait to quote this book and start 100 spirited debates...who am I kidding...100 spirited arguments with friends and family! Thanks Greeny and Hembo!!

Always Fascinating

Sports is always fascinating...this is a great concise telling of many incredible stories and events.

A Unique Arrangement and Overview of Great Sports

Greeny, Hembo, and co. essentially compile a list of varied greats sports figures but filtered/ordered in a creative way: they must significantly be tied to a number from 1-100. The figures who make the cut are more or less the usual suspects and reflect the writers personal experiences and could use a few more athletes outside the American consciousness. However, it's Greeny's anecdotes about each athlete that really bring the book to life, especially when narrated by Greenys TV-ready voice. Outside of Greenys stories, the book provides the usual stats/information about each sports figure but serves as a nice, concise primer.

Greeny kills it. Top-notch

The narrator makes or breaks an audio book. It is a skill you either have or you don't. Greeny has it in spades. I propose that Michael Greenberg should narrate all audio books henceforth. That is all.

A very entertaining book especially for sports fans. Would make a great gift for the sports fan in your life… but you better get one for yourself so you can add to the conversation.
