Better read than heard.

It takes patience to listen to. She reads painfully slow, even with speed at 1.3x.

Good information!

This is a good book that included many concepts that I’ve heard other places, but was definitely a good reminder of some ways to create intrigue in communication.

Intrigue. Connect. Say bye to the elevator speech

"Got Your Attention?" is a book is full of amazing stories and refreshing quotations.
The author Sam Horn reads the book herself, which is fascinating to listen to and she brings passion to every word she utters.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to express his/her ideas from the very first seconds and leave the other person with a "tell me more" expression in the face.
Undoubtedly one of the best books of 2015.

Never answer "what do you do" with a statement

An interview of Sam Horn on Podcaster's Paradise introduced me to her way of speech. I have grown up using many of her methods, but without knowing why I was doing it. This book opens up the idea of why some speeches work and others do not, a "how to" manual of speaking to engage and listening to interact. Do not wait to speak, but listen, acknowledge, and evaluate what to say next as to evangelical a conversation. 3 part questions.

Read it yourself

Good premise is ruined by the authors tone and voice inflections. It was hard to listened to, it took me an extra few weeks to finish this one. I would recommend you read the book yourself.

for grabbing my attention, this performance missed

The entire message is missed because of such a poor reading.

The reader had poor fluctuation in her voice. Her emphasis was often off which made it difficult to determine important points of distinction. I tried listening multiple times in order to capture the meat of the book. I'm giving up.
