Publisher's summary

It should come as no surprise that misunderstandings about the gospel message and the nature of true conversion result in a problem with genuine assurance of salvation. A pseudo-gospel of easy believism has led many into careless presumption, and a poor understanding of salvation has abandoned tender consciences to near spiritual despair. In Gospel Assurance and Warnings, Paul Washer shines the light of gospel hope as he cautions against the dangers of making an empty profession of faith and carefully explains from scripture the basis for establishing and maintaining a sound assurance of faith.

A Modern Prophet Speaks

The greatest message told honestly, clearly and completely. Are there hard sayings in the Bible? Absolutely! However, they are only hard to those whose hearts are still hard and untouched by the saving grace of the One True God as revealed in the Bible. Washer expounds upon the critical aspects of the Gospel and ways that the modern western church and many who profess to be followers of Christ have forsaken the plain teachings of Scripture.
Like the Prophets of Old Testament Israel, Washer brings a clarion call to turn from our sins and recognize Jesus as our King and Redeemer.

no ear tickling here

solid. biblical. gospel. truth. this book gives a litmus test to saving faith. Paul washer holds all "clay pots" up to the light of scripture truth so that we can look to see if our faith is real. highly recommended for anyone who claims Christ, for those who might dispute, and especially for those who are unsure. this 3 book series is great. i will read, highlight, and meditate on this again and again. praise the Lord for men who faithfully serve.... even with a scalpel in a tender but unrelenting hand.
