Publisher's Summary

The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing, and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist. Put New York Times best-selling authors Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett together...and all Hell breaks loose.

Loved it.

Love the narration. Loved the characters and loved the story. Made me laugh made me think and made me want more.
A fantastic collaboration between two creative imaginative writers and bought to life by a wonderful story teller.

Top class storytelling!

Martin Jarvis is, beyond question, one of the greatest voice artists of our time. He could read out a tax return and leave you eager to hear more. Then add Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett - two of the greatest storytellers of our time - and this was obviously going to be a winning combination. I thought this was just perfect.

Loved it

It starts well, but the first time I read this I struggled to finish. I did really enjoy it when I gave it a chance.
it's funny with a side of philosophical and religious commentary. Very interesting read.

Utterly brilliant

I read and loved this years ago, but wanted to refresh it in my kind before the tv show is released. I am ever so glad I did, as not only had I forgotten it totally, but I would have missed out on the fabulous narration by Martin Jarvis. One if those listens that leaves you adrift afterwards, wondering if anything will ever be as satisfying.

Just the best thing ever written

Imagine a summer that lasts forever and a boy... This is the second time I've "read" this. The first was on paper and I enjoyed it immensely then. Martin Jarvis manages to add to that, by bringing the characters alive. This is my perfect listen.

A hell of a story

Pratchett and Gaimin tell a great story about the end of the world, featuring characters who don't quite fit into the moulds that you would expect them to be in.
A great book in its own right and it's always good to listen to the original before the tv adaptation comes out so you can enjoy some of the subtle humour that Gaimin puts into all his work.
We'll worth the time to listen.
