Good Enough

Jeremy Tarkington had successfully advanced from his crummy case manager's job to a slightly less crummy job of training other case managers. It wasn't great, but it meant better pay and less hours, which might afford him an actual social life. He had developed a crush on a woman at his gym, but before he could act upon it, she became one of his trainees. Despite the trouble he would get in with Human Resources, he managed to find himself dating the woman, and bedding her. Then she disappeared. Jeremy soon finds himself involved with another woman who also disappears. The deception from these women lead him to discovering a series of murders that one or both of his one night stands might be the perpetrators, which leads him to involvement with a detective and a Texas Ranger. Before he can figure anything out, there are attempts on his life which one leaves him unemployed. His amateur sleuthing leads him to a resort that caters to rich people who practice polyamory and naturism. A long way from his conservative background and social worker ambitions.
