Publisher's summary

Three years ago, Alec McClane and Raegan Devereaux lived every parent's worst nightmare: their one-year-old daughter, Emma, was abducted from a park when Alec turned his back for just a moment. Emma was never found, and presumed dead. The crushing trauma, plus Alec's unbearable guilt, ended the couple's marriage.

Now a four-year-old girl matching Emma's profile is found wandering a local park. Alec and Raegan are heartbroken to discover she's not their daughter but are newly motivated to find closure...and each secretly feels desperate to be in the other's presence again.

Alec suspects his vengeful biological father is behind Emma's disappearance. But as Raegan investigates other abductions in the area, she sees a pattern - and begins to wonder if Emma's kidnapping is actually linked to something more sinister.

As Alec and Raegan race to uncover the truth, a long-burning spark rekindles into smoldering passion, and they realize they need each other now more than ever.

Great twist

Torture parents, abductions, sadistical villains and overcoming terrible obstacles, all in a day's work.....truly enjoyed the book and narrator.

Loved it

Great mystery. Decent amount of romance without detracting from the mail story line. Will read more by this author.

so good.

I love a good second chance love book.
It was heart breaking, loving an even funny in spots. I would recommend this book to friends that like suspense, mystery with a dash of romance. I enjoyed the women that was narrating very much. easy to understand an not " sexy whisper talk. I am looking forward to reading more of her books

Close to perfect

I reallyt enjoyed book 2 in this series. It can be read as a stand alone with no problem. Great suspense an anguish, hot sex and brings to light missing current, but focuses on the relationship between the parents.

GONE

One of the best stories I have ever heard about a child abduction where the child lived and was united with her family 3 1/2 years later.

Epically Intriguing

A mother who never gave up on her missing daughter. A father whose demons caught up with him. Three years after their daughter's disappearance, an unseemly break in the case renewed their research where they discovered just the tip of the iceberg. But their digging is not without danger and they soon discover some truths don't want to be uncovered.
This author writes books of epic proportions, giving each story a complete world of its own. She always has her readers on the edge of their seats, never stopping for want of what's in the next chapter.

This was the first book I've listened to narrated by Amy Landon. She did an excellent job of bringing out the emotions in each scene and the unique characteristics of the key players.
