More Religion than Golf.

Was disappointed in that I thought this was a sappy religious book that really didn't have any redeeming golf wisdom in it. If you want a religious book then you'll probably love it.

Great message!

If you ever want to learn how to better control your emotions on and off the course, this book is a must read. I enjoyed getting lumps in my throat listening to this book as the examples and lessons can be profound yet simply stated. I'm ready to take my game and my life to the next level of understanding and compassion. I'm no longer trapped by my score or how many birdies I make, but free to enjoy the game for what it is. I can't wait to play!

Jesus!!!, Can That Guy Play!

If you’re an avid golfer and understand the importance of the mental game then buy this audio book and listen until you get to the 7th day. Until that point the book lays out some useful material and helps you put the game into prospective. It puts forth some tangible techniques for the mental game mixed with a charming story. Now you should continue with the 7th day if you are a born again Christian or if you feel the need to be saved. The rest of the book is boundless preaching to help you find your way to Jesus. If you are of that mind then you will enjoy this book until the end; if you are not but have a thirst for the mental side of the game then the book is worth your time. The narrator is not a very good. I think he is new; this is the only book he has done on Audible and it shows. Minus 2 for the narrator and minus 1 for the 7th day; 3 stars.

Take a step back and listen

It’s starts off really frustrating and heavy but that’s what it’s supposed to do. The story and optimal mental state that it recommends for Golf is hard to argue against. It got really religious and I felt myself get defensive but I put that on myself as being close minded. Religion / philosophy is the same thing without the power play so I just finished with an open mind and the message of this book brought me great value. Balance confidence, purpose and meaning in life. …That I will take onto the golf course and rule! This Book was very refreshing for me.

Golf info good, then got ultra religious

Having actually played the course several times over the years and visit the cafe every year I love the setting. I loved 3/4 of the book and the mentality of golf. Spoke to me on the mental aspect of the game I love so much. Then religion came in. Almost destroyed the book and philosophy for me but will separate the two. I will take much of it with me for the game and leave the rest behind.

great stuff

Too much backstory dump in the beginning, but really enjoyed it after that. Highly recommend.

See it, feel it, and trust it.

More then just about golf the story is refreshing and a retreat in itself. I enjoyed all the characters especially Johnny.I'm looking forward to taking the teachings and apply them to my own life, family, and faith.

Decent experience

Good inspirational content; should be a lot longer though to add depth. *SPOILER* the fact that the protagonist was able to fix a marriage in the course of a night during a four day golf tournament was a little too quick for my taste (the book just didn't have enough "show-not-tell")
