Publisher's Summary

Three bears (a little, small, wee bear; a middle-sized bear; and a great, huge bear) live together in a house in the woods. They are very good-natured, trusting, harmless, tidy, and hospitable. Each of these "bachelor" bears has his own porridge bowl, chair, and bed. One day, they make porridge for breakfast, but it's too hot to eat, so they take a walk in the woods while their porridge cools. An old woman approaches the bears' house....

Highly recommended for little ones. 👨‍👧‍👧

Perfect listening time for daycare workers and kindergarten teachers to play in classrooms. Heidi's narration is perfect for this book. I was given this free audio book at my request and voluntarily decided to leave this review.

Another timeless children's classic

So I would first like to say that my granddaughter absolutely loves Heidi Gregory's narration. She absolutely loves Gregory's accent.

This is another children's classic that I requested for my granddaughter. She really got a good laugh when Goldilocks got in trouble at the end.

I received this review copy free of charge and have chosen to leave a review.

Goldilocks: not well brought up indeed!

Goldilocks in all of her vandalistic treachery. What a naughty careless and messy little girl. Where were her parents? This is the story that was rewritten a thousand times to blunt the edge of the timeless truth that, if you mess with a bunch of beats who were minding their own business, you are going to wreck yourself.
Here it is in all of its cause-and-effect glory. Uncut

The narrator did a great job with a British accent. Although I didn’t quite believe her as the blustering big bear at one point.

Not a smoothed over ending

This is the classic story of Goldilocks.

This is the second book I’ve listened to by this narrator and I would listen to another. She reads the book for kids but does not read it in an exaggerated, overdone way. It is a pleasant listen.

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing.

A Fun Retelling

I have enjoyed Heidi Gregory's narration of several fairy tales and this is no different. She does an excellent job with the pace and voices.

Another Well Narrated Classic

I have listened to several classic fairy tales narrated by Heidi Gregory, and they have all been solid. As with the others, this seems to be an older version of the tale that hasn't been softened for today's sensitivities. Personally I like these versions better. Heidi's narration is again excellent. Aside from the short length, this was a good listen.

Classic story well told!

I don't think I have ever listened to or read the original version of this classic fairy tale, but I am glad I did. Well-written story or course. I loved the comment about how polite and well-brought up the bears were and the little girl was not well-brought up at all.

The narration was just right for the story. I am sure it would be an easy listen to keep children entertained.

Classic

This classic tale is perfect for kids and it's a great narrator for the job. I don't know what it is about this story that my kids are so fixated on. They don't know how famous it is but they're obsessed with Goldilocks all the same. I guess this is how it got so famous in the first place. Evidently, it strikes a chord in kids' imaginations.

Classic Children's Story

This classic children's tale is slightly different than the one I grew up with in that Mama Bear, Papa Bear, and Baby Bear are called Middle Bear, Great Huge Bear, and Little Small Wee Bear, however it is still an absolutely lovely story. It is well read by Heidi Gregory in a clear British accent. A must addition to your library for children and grandchildren! I was given a copy of the audiobook at my request in exchange for an honest review.
