An enjoyable anthology.

This is a collection of short stories all surrounding Flagler Beach, Florida - this time from the Golden Lion Cafe & bar. There are several short stories in here all from patrons past & present that eat and / or drink there.

I found this series to be comforting and they somewhat reminded me of my bar days and some of the fun and stories we had heard, It is amazing at all the things learned in public places like this. The stories in this book are fun, & sometimes relate-able to us too. The first story opens up on a beautiful Saturday Morning and it seems anything that can go wrong, does go wrong beginning with half of the staff calling off work for several reasons (they call it calling out).

The author Armand Rosamilia once again did a great job capturing tales learned in public places. This book totally held my interest. I felt like I was eavesdropping in on some of the patrons. The narrator, Jack de Golia once again did an awesome job delivering this story to us as he always does with all his voices and accents! Kudos to you both!

Golden Lion Cafe

If you’ve listened to books by Armand Rosamilia before, how does this one compare?
yes

Any additional comments?
This was a fast read .I was gifted a copy for a honest review. The story is set in a cafe in a beach town.We get to meet the owners and customers who frequent the place. This is the 2nd in a series, again,I WAS hoping for more beachy fun.The characters are pretty unrelatable to me.It is narrated by Jack de Golla, who did a fine job with character voices.

Fun In Flagler!

What did you love best about Golden Lion Cafe - Complete?

I loved the whole story and setting of Golden Lion Cafe. It was a hoot and had a beachy cafe/tiki bar feel to it. I could imagine all the chatter and the sound of glasses and beer bottles clinking around. It was a lot of fun. You never know who will show up at the cafe.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There were so many quirky, oddball characters and I enjoyed them all. So far I think Woody is pretty funny along with Colleen and Bethany. I have one other of the series and I can't wait to listen to it and see what happens.

Have you listened to any of Jack de Golia’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to other performances by Jack de Golia and they're all great. This one is as well. I love all the different character's styles and voices. I can picture them.

If you could rename Golden Lion Cafe - Complete, what would you call it?

I wouldn't rename it. Golden Lion Cafe is perfect. Love it! Armand Rosamilia did a great job writing these stories about Flagler Beach.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoy this series. It is a true hidden gem and I hope to be able to listen to them all. I received this audiobook foc in exchange for an unbiased review.

Another day in Flagler Beach ...

What did you love best about Golden Lion Cafe - Complete?

I liked that the stories, while short, gave us a glimpse into the lives of some of the people who live in Flagler Beach. By touching on a small part of each person's life, you get to know them bit by bit.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Golden Lion Cafe - Complete?

At the end when we saw Max and his wife from Kokomo Cafe having dinner in the Golden Lion Cafe and discussing the possibility of move and whether or not it would affect their children.

Have you listened to any of Jack de Golia’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to 2 other books read by Mr. de Golia. One was a mystery thriller and the other was Kokomo Cafe Complete. (Book 1 in the Flagler Beach series). I have really enjoyed all the books I have listened to so far. I can't wait to listen to the next book in this series.

If you could take any character from Golden Lion Cafe - Complete out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would love to have dinner with Tom, the owner of the Golden Lion. I want to know about that book he is writing and whether or not it is getting published. I'm interested in finding out why he moved here from England.

Any additional comments?

Golden Lion Cafe - Complete is book 2 in the Flagler Beach series. Book 1 - Kokomo Cafe - Complete takes place on a Friday and book 2 takes place on the next day, Saturday. I really enjoyed the carry over of characters from book 1 while bringing in new characters here in book 2. I can't wait to see what book 3 has to offer.

A fun short story

A fun quirky cast of characters make this trip to Flagler Beach, FL a fun one! The book is a group of short stories which follow this beach bar and its patrons. The author does a great job putting them all together and making you feel as if you’re sitting right by the water! Ican’t wait to move on to J&J fitness the next in the series!
