Publisher's summary

God’s people are hiding in plain sightTens of millions of Christians live in China today, leading double lives to hide from a government that relentlessly persecutes them.

By day, Bob Fu was a teacher in a communist school; by night, he was a preacher in an underground house church network. This edge-of-your-seat book tells the true story of Fu’s conversion to Christianity, his arrest and imprisonment for starting an illegal house church, his harrowing escape, and his subsequent rise to prominence in the United States as an advocate for his oppressed brethren.

God’s Double Agent will inspire you to boldly proclaim and live out your faith in a world that is at times indifferent, and at other times murderously hostile, to those who spread the gospel.

a great book, very informative.

it was tense at times, and very sad to hear what is going on in China. but I recommend this book to anyone who cares about human rights and especially the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Eye opening!

I was shocked at the persecution endured by citizens seeking religious freedom as well as human rights violations perpetuated by the Chinese government against it's own people. The narration was very good. I was moved to prayer, crying out at the injustice of society's most vulnerable members. I liked that the author gave concrete direction to how someone who wanted to/was able to help. Bob Fu risked his life repeatedly to help those in need. From now on I will keep the persecuted in China in my prayers!

Should be required reading for Christians!

What made the experience of listening to God's Double Agent the most enjoyable?

This was more intense than any fiction book could ever be written. The stories Bob Fu share were both heart-rending and joyful. I was truly inspired to hear how God is at work in China, even in the midst of a government who hates and fears God.

What was one of the most memorable moments of God's Double Agent?

The many small "miracles" that Bob Fu shared of God's protection during difficult time were awe-inspiring.

Which scene was your favorite?

The "woman" who provided money for Bibles but never came to claim them. This "woman" was not known to anyone and was never seen again. The money she gave was used at a crucial time in Fu's life.

If you could give God's Double Agent a new subtitle, what would it be?

"Prison Theology 101"

Great background on our persecuted Chinese brothers and sisters

I knew at a high level of the persecution of our brothers & sisters in Christ in China, but Bob’s vivid description of life in China (particularly in a small village), becoming a believer and then the dangerous life of believers in China was eye opening for me. I highly recommend this book!

Educational

I heard about the situation in China but never knew how deep and scary it is until I heard this book. Living in America we take for granted freedom of religion and yet we crumble to the most small test. Listening to this book help me to appreciate what I have and accept that I have way more that other people in the world, thank you!!!

Eye-openig

I had no idea of the danger and intrigue and evil in China's government. The Christians there are truly remarkable. What an intense book.
