It's all about finding balance....

The main character in this story to me is doing a balancing act. She's doing the life that is expected of her during the day, while simultaneously finding herself at night.

Terrific story.

I enjoyed this audiobook very much, it's a strong story with interesting, well developed, characters. While the erotic scenes were well written they are not the focus of this story, this story is about Leilla King's life, not just the erotic moments of her life. I did find the authors writing style to be a bit too formal (especially the dialogue) and a bit wordy. I thought that the amount of detail and the number of adjectives used were a bit extraneous and sometimes rather tedious. I'm sure that some readers will enjoy this attention to detail but it just kind of caused the story to drag in places for me.

Erin Bateman's narration was quite good, although her Canadian pronunciation of certain words was a bit disconcerting since the book is written in the first person voice of Leilla King who is a Los Angeles girl.

While this book is not exactly my cup of tea, I do think it will appeal to many Femdom fans and it is certainly a quality piece of BDSM erotica.

A Dramatic Story with a Touch of Sexy

The story itself is excellent! I felt it took a while to get to the climax, but it makes sense for there being a second one. The resolution was short but satisfying. I think the development of the main character was a bit lacking, in comparison to the character Matthew who seemed to have the most depth. Each character was very strong in their own, however, the overbearing boss, the utterly submissive pet, and the two halves of Leila King were each very different. Worth the read, or if you want, the listen.

Pros: Excellent imagery and descriptions. The story doesn't revolve around BDSM, but more like the BDSM is woven in very smoothly. The characters are strong and simple.

Cons: A few awkward moments of repetitive word use. The narrator's obviously Canadian "soory" was hard to get over.

4 Stars overall. Definitely a good read.

Hot BDSN

Ms King saw herself as a goddess because that is what they called her when she played. When she went to work her boss Mr. Roth made her feel like a small person. She was taught by a master and he was a very good teacher. This was her way to escape reality. Matthew was her pet and she took out her frustration out on him. Then she got a chance to get back at her boss. The narrator was good.

Beautiful

I am very proud of this story. My first full length novel narrated expertly by Erin Bateman makes my heart swell. Highly recommended story of love, dedication and the occasional tragic event that always seems to find us. Enjoy!

Non-bias review of an AAC of Goddess

I LOVED this story. I had never heard or read anything by R.J. Castille. I was not disappointed in this story at all. The narrator was fine. I should tell she is a Canadian because of her pronunciation of certain words and it threw me off the story for a bit.
The storyline was different from anything I have/had heard or read. I loved the strong female character. I loved the hero in this story and how you don't know it's him till later in the book. I can't wait to hear the sequel!

A domme with decisions to make!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. When I saw the name of this book, I really thought that it was going to be a book about sex. I was delighted to find out that it was about sex and so much more. There is good character and plot development. Leila is a domme which is seldom addressed in books. When she is scening she is in charge which is just the opposite in her job where she is treated like an incompetent employee and constantly having her work sabotaged by her boss. It is interesting to watch how Leila handles so many different life experiences. She has more patience than I am. She has to deal with some very difficult decisions. This book does end in a cliffhanger with many unanswered questions. But the second book is out in Audible books.

The only reason I gave the performance four stars was because near the end there were numerous repetitions of the first part of sentences. I can understand one or two but it became annoying. Where was the editor? Otherwise I thought that the narrator did a great job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters. I enjoyed listening to her.
