Good to read, not so good to listen

The story itself is good, but the narrator was a poor choice for this book. He does well in general, but a book such as this needs a voice that can boom with power like Zeus' or resonate with the fury that lives in Kratos. Plus, we NEED book 3! Please and thank you.

Good, But Not Complete.

We need book 3!!!! It's just wrong to leave us with the story ended like that!

behind the scenes from the game

the book was good , it has a good back story as to what's happening while Kratos does Kratos things. the narrator was ok until he tried to do voices. he made every male character sound elderly. Kratos sounded more like a old man shaking his fist at the sky than a former God of War

A great way to understand the story of the second but the voice actor isn’t as impactful.

While God of War 2 is still a good game this book expands on the story of it by giving more motivation and understanding to every character involved from Zeus to even Jason who had literally no story in the game. However the reader does a fine job in reading he doesn’t have the emotions in certain and unfortunately doesn’t the right voice to give Kratos however it’s well worth the listen if your a fan of the games or want to learn the story for it

A Little Disappointed

While I do enjoy the God of War series (both in its gaming and novel format), I am inclined to denote that the narrator is not one I would have chosen. His voice is too high-pitched for a character such as Zeus or Kratos, and just makes the whole thing sound foolish.

It does the video game justice

Nobody can do the voice of Kratos the way TC Carson does, but for someone who’s here to read us the story of the God of War, not throw his voice out, he does well. He gets the anger out pretty well, he gets the several voices amazingly. I never had to rewind to remind myself who’s speaking. Overall this is amazing
