From USA Today bestselling author Rina Kent comes a new standalone enemies-to-lovers, marriage of convenience romance.

I fell for the villain.

It happened back when I was a clueless girl.

But he ruthlessly broke my heart and trapped it in a jar.

Since then, I’ve sworn to hate him to the end of my days.

Eli King might be a savage devil, but I’m out of his way. And league. That is until I wake up in a hospital and find him holding my hand.

He tells me the words that change my life forever.

“We got married two years ago, Mrs. King.”

So I set out to investigate how I landed myself into this marriage.

Turns out, my memories are darker than my present. I thought I was ready for the hurricane.

I thought I could handle his soulless eyes and cold shoulder.

I thought wrong.

Nothing can stop my husband.

Not the secrets surrounding us.

Not the hatred between us.

Not even me.

This book can be listened to on its own, but for a better understanding of the world, you might want to start with God of Malice.

So, I read this and then got the audible, and when I say the audible takes this from the 5 star read to a 10 star read, I mean the feeling was magnified x20, I had tears streaming down my face at one point. I love reading but sometimes listening to the heartbreak just makes it that much better! The roller coaster ride that we get with Eli and Ava's story is the perfect ending to this series that, let's face it was just one huge ride. The twists and turns keep a reader glued to the pages, and it doesn't let go until the very end. I had so many ideas on how this story would go and none of them even compared to what we got. This was brilliantly done and it's a bit bittersweet knowing this is the end. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that maybe we get a little something more in the future (one can hope). I give Eli and Ava 5 stars.

A must listen!

This was different from what I was expecting, but I loved it all the same. The mystery of what was going on with Ava and how and why Eli was pulling the strings was really fascinating and while I wish we got more of these two truly together, it was a great story.

Our little social butterfly was a hot mess, more than I ever suspected. She was addicted to alcohol and did too many drugs, all while dealing with some debilitating mental health issues. My heart broke so many times for her while she thought about her future and what it all meant...

Eli was amazing and quite insane. I loved how obsessed he was and loved watching his restraint snap with Ava. But my favorite was how sweet he was with her in the end. I really wish we got more of it because *sobs*

The audio was amazing. Shane East did an incredible job narrating the guys and Zara Hampton-Brown was amazing for the ladies. This was such a fantastic listen.
