Great guide to love oneself

I really loved the points made in this book. first of all the importance about recognizing that there is a problem, and how to fix it by first realizing that we need to accept Gods love to be able to love! that was the first half of the book . I kind of got lost in the 2nd half because I felt like he elaborated so much on some points. I thought some chapters could have been a bit shorter, but I could see that some people who were in denial, would need some more examples to realize how they were not loving themselves. I love the story of shame and Adam and eve. I wish he would have used more bible references like this . I thought this point was great and very impactful

This was the realest book about real love and it's practicality that I've ever read. It explored not just what love is but it helped me define why it's so hard to receive it. This book somehow touched on so much that I was able to change my thinking about how I view how God views me. And I understand the things I need to go back to doing that I knew were good but I somehow lost through life stressors and toxic people. I think if you do the exercises earnestly and be fair to yourself while you do them, you might just find out that God loves you more than you think and you can love yourself better than you do now.
