Incredible book, faulty audio

I loved everything about this book. The teachings in it, the hope it gives, and the light it shines on the mediocrity so many Christians allow into our lives today is refreshing and eye opening.

The only issue I have is that from the end of chapter 5 on, the recording is faulty in some places. I called audible twice and took the steps they told me to correct it, but there were parts where the audio skipped and sentences were repeated.

Overall, the book itself is amazing.

Audio editing is messed up.

Any additional comments?

We have the print version of this book and I purchased the Audible version but had to stop listening because the editing was so messed up that it didn't make sense. I chatted with multiple ppl at Audible to get this resolved and there were going to get back with me. That was on 12/17/16 and I haven't heard back since.

Flawed digital skipping - AMAZING MESSAGE!

Seemingly only on one are of chapter * takes several minutes to recover to no longer repeat/skip. Audible hearing of almost a loop sound causing it in several areas of particular area. Getting ready to play it third time through. *Will note exact chapter when I catch it next time! ESSENTIAL RECOMMENDATION! Should be mandatory teaching for anyone curiously seeking and lifelong believers alike.

Amazing

I loved it! But most importantly, I loved discovering the Truth about God as my Father, as revealed by His amazing Son Jesus, Jesus Himself being empowered by Holy Spirit. There are so many truths here requiring a very deep paradigm shift, that I need to listen intently, again and again, until these finally take root in me.
I enjoyed the narrator. it was perfect reading

Bill Johnson is such a treasure.

Bill always looks deeper at the Word of God. He never skims the surface. His spiritual insight is awe inspiring. When I finished this book I felt changed. I felt closer to the truth after reading this book because it is founded in truth from the Word of the Lord.

Needing Confirmation

I was looking for a book to confirm to me that God is good. I am experiencing a time when I don't believe God even cares about me. I'm suffering through an ailment and wonder why He hasn't showed up to heal me. The book was well written and timely.

Couldn't get past the first chapter....

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointed....

Any additional comments?

While as a born again follower of Christ, I do believe the gifts of the Spirit, even the prophetic gifts, are for today - and I do believe whole heartedly that God is Good! And I do believe we can hear from God on things He wants us to do, as this author says he wrote this book because, quote, 'God told me to write it.' Yet from the get go he then goes into all sorts of things that are his personal opinion about why God is good and compares himself over and over again as a father to God as a loving Father. (Using human fathers as an example to God as THE Perfect Father can only go so far in comparing the two to make a point. God is perfect, man is not... and so these fathers will not be good all the time, and they will make sinful mistakes.) He even makes some statement that seems to indicate he doesn't really pay much attention to God in the OT, so perhaps he is one who looks at God's Word as only needing the NT today while disregarding the OT? I don't know. While I won't argue that God did or did not actually tell him to write this book, as I've already stated, I believe God IS good and we can hear from Him, however - if God did tell him this, why does he need to put so much of his human opinion in this? It reminded me of Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life, he starts the book with, quote 'It's not about you' but then the rest of the book is all about how it is all about you.....

Gabbled reading

This is such a marvellous book that it is a real disappointment to listen to it read with so little consideration for the wonderful and life-changing truths it contains. The reader gets through it as if he has a page of words in front of him which he must drive through as fast as he can. I have slowed him down to 0.75 speed, but that brings other limitations. Someone who really understands the power of Bill’s message should read it instead - or Bill himself.

Great book, well read, too much audio editing

The reader did a fantastic job, but the audio editor clipped way too much between sentences. Guessing this was done automatically, but the result is an unnatural timing between sentences. You can't dwell on what Bill wrote at all because it's already moved on to the next sentence or chapter. If I want to speed things up, I'll listen at 1.25x!

Apart from that the book is beautifully read and timed.

The book itself is great! Lots of wise snippets that all tie together to remind you of God's incredible goodness. One for the library.

worth many listens

Soundly based in one of the best working knowledge of scripture I have found, taking us into the reality of what salvation is all about, the increasing revelation of God's glory in and so through his people.

Paradigm shift

This book really enlighten me about the mystery of the goodness of God and how much it is loitered within the word of God and how it reveals the heart of the Father. Bill Johnson, of Uncle Bill has wrote a legendary of a book. A must read. The content flows and reads so smoothly that I finished the book in two workout session at the gym.

Addressed questions I had

life's difficulties and world events often cause us to question God's goodness. This book really helps Christians deal with those nagging doubts.

With all the angst in the world we need to hear more that God is good. This is a book worth reading.
