Bland reader; trite story
What would have made Glad Yule better?
It's difficult for me to comment on the story itself because the reader was just not a good match for this book. He felt stilted, like a robot trying to come off as a human. He may be a good match for other genres, but this just didn't work. I got about an hour and a half in to the 2 hour story and just had to turn it off. They story itself felt trite with overused fantasy themes and bland characters, but it may have been more bearable with a better reader.
Would you recommend Glad Yule to your friends? Why or why not?
No, it just felt boring.
Would you be willing to try another one of Maxwell Glick’s performances?
Maaaaaybe...if its not fantasy. He might do well at comedy.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I couldn't finish it; I'll normally finish just to finish, but I sadly enjoyed it that little.
