Good Info if you Have Money, or Care About Fashion

You have to have a lot of money to implement a lot of these tips and suggestions, though not all of them. a disproportionate amount of space is devoted to fashion and beauty, and does not explain what to do if you are in a lower income bracket. If you do want to dress in a more sustainable way, this is a good book for you, though.

Informational, inspirational, and funny

Ashlee touches on just about everything related to saving the planet. Her suggestions are achievable, while being motivational instead of making you feel bad for ever doing otherwise. If you follow her advice you WILL feel good about the decisions you are making. Great book for anyone interested in sustainability, or just wanting to feel more purposeful in their daily actions. I will definitely be listening to this one again.

Practical, principled and powerful

The book articulates a sustainability lifestyle from the bedroom, closet, and office in a nonjudgmental, practical, and fun way. As someone that is brand new to the movement and lifestyle, I was left feeling that the steps/ideas were easy to implement and that I could make a difference - with the changes growing as more people adopt the lifestyle. I was inspired with the facts provided and I laughed along the way while learning how and why these simple changes can have a profound impact. If you already are into the sustainability lifestyle - prepare to learn some cool new tips and tricks. If you’re a newbie (like me) prepare to learn and be inspired to adopt the lifestyle in a way much easier to adopt than you’d ever think possible. Highly recommended.

Nice start

Great book on how to get started being more sustainable, eco friendly, etc. I felt the author was a bit preachy at times, however that is the point of the book. I love that there is a pdf included with ways to help readers with the information she explains in the book. One part that really kind of made me cringe is where she discusses sterilization as an option for birth control. I 100% agree that it is a fabulous option, however she made it seem like all you have to do is ask your dr and you’re good to go. If she is going to give advice especially about sterilization options for women, even though she prefaced talking to your dr first, she needs to understand that women have a VERY difficult time obtaining these from their dr. Younger women have an even harder time. I’d ask that she be more thoughtful and thorough regarding this very important issue, rather than the few sentences she gave it.

Overall a very nice listen, from an author who is very very passionate about helping our planet.

Fun, Quirky & Informational

The author did a great job narrating this book her personality really shines through. I’ve been vegan and low-waste for a some time but I learned a few new tricks and loved the informative dialogue about why we should switch away from certain things. Overall I think this is a great book to give to anyone who is interested in lowering their impact on the environment no matter where they might be in their journey. I’ll probably listen to this again at some point!

Amazing.

This book is on point. I appreciate Ashlee’s approach, candor, humor and bluntness. Super funny and easy to listen to. Highly recommend. This book will be one of those I relistening to often. 🙌🏼

Entertaining

I loved this book. With a lot of the audibles that I read, I have to stop them because sometimes I will catch myself getting sleepy from listening to them, however, this book kept me laughing with her humor through out the whole book. She keeps your attention really well and has really great view points on how you could save the planet. I love that it is actually her narrating her book because it makes you feel more connected to the author and how she was wanting to tell her book.
