Publisher's summary

I’ll make her cry gilded tears if she ever runs again.

Esme was just a girl in a nightclub. Until I made her the center of my world. The queen to my kingdom. The mother to my child.

We had the future in our hands.

And then she left me on that mountain to die.

Little by little, I clawed my way back. Back to life. Back to strength. Back to where I belong.

And now, the time has come to reclaim what belongs to me.

Once upon a time, Esme thought I was her savior. She thought wrong.
Because by the time I find her again.... I’ll be her worst nightmare.

Gilded Tears is the second book in the Kovalyov Bratva duet. Make sure you’ve started with Artem and Esme’s story from the beginning in Book One, Gilded Cage.

Had to fast forward through ESME part’s

I loved book #1 in its entirety and everything about book #2 except for Esme’s part. This was the first time I ever fast forwarded through the main female character’s chapters. She was sickening and had the rest of the book not have been so compelling, I would have stopped reading the book. Thankfully, Artem and Killian and everyone else made the story!

This story took me part and put me back together again.

When Esme made a heart wrenching decision to leave her husband behind, I had a visceral reaction. This story is so well-crafted, you’ll find yourself drawn in until the very end. The narration by Alan Carlson and Allyson Voller was excellent and on-point. Can’t wait to listen to the next in this series.

Loved it!!

I loved the narrators, the love story, the connection between Artem and Esme! This is probably one that I will listen to over and over.
Definitely worth the credits. Don’t forget that there are two books, the first ending in a cliff hanger. Enjoy!!! I sure did!!

Good

This was a nice ending to an exciting story. The first half was a little slow for me. But the rest of the story had plenty of action and steam. I liked Artem and Esme and that made it easy to cheer for them to win and get their HEA!

Gilded Tears

Esme did not get any smarter in this book. She was a fool to try to run with a baby without any money and ends up in a shelter where she is robbed when she went to dinner. She was so annoyingly stupid. In my opinion, the books in this series are longer than they need to be, although I do like Nicole Fox's writing style. Alan Carlson and Allyson Voller did a great job with the narration.

As one of the previous reviewers stated, I too hope Killian gets his own series.
