The world The author creates is vivid

The story line is intriguing but the aspect I like best is the character development, varied relationships and world creation. The author is quite creative.

Jake and Bridget always do a great job and this book and world are and amazing story so this is *chef's kiss* perfection

The others in the series aren't avaliable yet so it's off to my Kindle I go.

This is dark and angsty, definite SA triggers, be aware. But you'll love the FMC who's strong not only ability-wise but in character also.

I love that the author gives you the MMCs pasts and backgrounds. it ensures you know more about them than just what their personalities are.

Highly recommend. there's depth, suspense and hallelujah - a bestie bond. There's got to be a real girl bf and not just superficial catty girls to make a good story!

Yes! Yes! Yes!

This was FANTASTIC! The cliffhanger is killing me, but this one is absolutely worth the credit.
- I wish the trigger warnings were listed in every description. Just so know, First couple chapters are necessary for the story but seriously graphic. So if you’re sensitive to attempted SA, (on page) I don’t recommend.
For those not affected by that trigger, It’s good start to finish. Highly recommend

Good story, bad narration

Good story, really enjoy this authors work, but I didn't love the narration. I found the female narrator irritating/distracting and had a hard time getting through because of it. While some of it is the character writing, the narrator is really breathy, dramatic and constantly uses a panicky tone -- it sounds like she's non-stop overwhelmed/hysterical and is always on the brink of breaking down, even in the moments when the characters not. It actually made me anxious listening to it.
