Publisher's summary

Every path has a beginning. Every life, an end.

Dr. Kelly Harper lives the good life. She has a dream job working alongside her father at their urgent care clinic in San Francisco, and a longtime boyfriend who is a Homicide Inspector with the SFPD.

But everything suddenly and drastically changes when her father, a well-known and much-beloved physician, is murdered. As Kelly tries to pick up the pieces of her shattered life, she discovers that her father had a shocking secret; he'd led a dark and perilous double-life.

This stunning revelation puts Kelly in dire jeopardy and forces her to make life-altering choices, cross moral and ethical lines, and eventually embrace her father's sinister past to save her own life.

An edge-of-your-seat thriller.

It left me wanting a sequel. There's more to the story yet to be told.

Excellent novel

I really think it would lend itself well to a miniseries on something like Netflix or Amazon. Would love to see that!

Just and honest Doctor removing human tumors

Sometimes "First, do no harm," means you have to cut the out the living things that would otherwise kill.

Former showrunner for some of TV's most iconic shows, Grant Rosenberg turns his hand to writing and gives us a thriller with a unique hero who follows in her father's footsteps, not just into the field of medicine, but also in the titular role to rid the world of some rather nasty people.

The strong story carries you past the minor flaws one might expect in a debut, but the characters are begging for a sequel. And guess what, there's one out in print now.

Jack Clancy does a great job of narrating too. Give it a listen.

I liked it!

I listen to a lot of audiobooks - almost 2 hours a day on my commute and when I’m doing anything around the house. FYI - audiobooks make housework much easier to tolerate. I really just need a book to keep my mind occupied, entertain me, and have a plot that isn’t so convoluted that I can’t figure out what’s going on if I zone out for a few minutes - and this one checked all the boxes! It seemed a little slow at first, but rapidly picked up the pace. By halfway through the book I reached that point where I didn’t want to stop listening - definitely give it a shot!
