Better Than What I Expected

I got this book on a lark. I started listening and at first I thought it was for a younger age group but I kept on listening. I really got into the characters and the Christmas time of the year. It surprised me what a good book it was. I really liked the story and thought it had a good ending. The narrator did a very good job. The only thing I did not like was the epilog. It entirely changed how I felt when I left the recording. I wish the author well in her quest but I just wanted to stay where the book left me for a while. I didn't care why the author did a couple of things in the book and why. I regard that as private. What I cared about was where the book left me when the book was done. Over all I found it to be a good listen for any age.

Excellent sequel

The first Greenglass House book was so good that we were worried the second one could not match it. Fortunately we were wrong, Ghosts of Greenglass House is just wonderful, a worthy follow up to a book we loved.

Much better than the first book

I still didn't care for the narrator or the main character, but the side characters and their traditions are REALLY interesting! This was a good story and well worth listening to.

Couldn’t get past the narration

The story moved too slowly for me to get past the narrator’s odd reading. Perhaps it was his attempt to portray a 13-year-old, but it came off whiny and strained. Listen to the sample before spending your credit.

That being said, I think this would be a better read than listen, and the Christmas time setting and cozy feel to the story would make it great to curl up with. However, I couldn’t get through the audiobook and had to turn it off.

If you’re interested in the story, try the kindle version.

Great for kids or adults.

This is a great winter read as it takes place over Christmas break. I have loved reading this series even as an adult.

Confusing

The characters weren’t easy to follow nor was the history of their relationship.
I have an 11 and 9 year old who didn’t want to continue this book.

As good or better than Greenglass House

I love this book it hooked me right from the start and kept building. Ghosts of Greenglass House is a strong follow-on to Greenglass House.
