Publisher's summary

While developing a new system to maintain Morganville's defenses, student Claire Danvers discovers a way to amplify vampire mental powers. Through this, she's able to reestablish the field around this vampire-infested Texas college town that protects it from outsiders.

But the new upgrades have an unexpected consequence: people inside the town begin to slowly forget who they are - even the vampires. Soon, the town's little memory problem has turned into a full-on epidemic. Now Claire needs to figure out a way to pull the plug on her experiment - before she forgets how to save Morganville.

Excellent book

The Narrator Cynthia Holloway is excellent. The story line continues with Clair and her friends. You will not be able to put the book down.

Great book! -Love this series!

I was pleasantly surprised after reading each of the 9 books in this series, that I couldn't wait for the next book! Except for rare cases like this series, I get bored by the 4th or 5th book in most series since it seems to get more and more difficult to top the last one(or in some cases, the first one). This entire series kept me coming back for more with a great balance of character, suspense, intrigue, comic relief, and just enough romance. I'm impressed! I hope she keeps them coming! I can't wait for the next one!

Morganville's lastest chapter does not disappoint!

If you could sum up Ghost Town in three words, what would they be?

Don't Forget Me

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the fact that in this book Claire is treated like the other residents of Morganville. In Rachel Cain's opening she states that the residents of the Glass House are seen/treated differently than the other residents in Morganville. They do not live under the protection of a vampire - Michael doesn't count - yet they do not usually have the same ramifications than other residents of Morganville would face in a similar situation. I believe that this is because Amelie recognizes what an asset Claire's mind is to their town.

However, in this book we see Claire kill a vampire, which is a capital offense regardless of the situation surrounding the kill. She is sentenced to work until she completes the "project" or dies trying, with absolutely no rest. Claire, being Claire is able to complete the project but it takes some time to realize that there is something wrong with what she created.

Seeing Claire's flaws made her more real as a character, since she doesn't really make any huge mistakes like she did in this book.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when Michael didn't remember the last few years and wondered who Claire was and what she was doing in his parent's house.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The past is right around the corner.

Any additional comments?

Cynthia Halloway does not disappoint. As usual she does a wonderful job with the performance of this story.

All the fun and wit of Sookie, all the romance of Twilight with enough blood to keep it interesting. Great reader, I loved this series...............where do I go from here?

Good story but

This is my second time listening to this series. I really like the suspense and the heroic actions of Claire Danvers. I just can’t recommend this series to anyone I care for because of its moral failings. To guys living with two girls lead to them inevitably hooking up. Not the behavior I want to see in the hero of the story.

In this story, Claire saves the town by restoring the borders. However a problem arises. People start losing their memories. She’s the only one who can save Morgansville.

Ghost Town; Book 9: Nothing is right!

Nothing is right! Who are you? Why am I here?

A three year amnesia torments both the humans and the vampires. What can possibly go wrong?

Cynthia Holloway brings this 9th edition of the Morganville Saga to life. This makes living in the past a reality!
