Good collection of paranormal stories

As a fan of all things haunting, I really enjoyed these brief looks into paranormal stories. As typical with collections like these some are well known and others are less. I was about 50/50 which means I need to brush up more on my stories. I like how some were old and others were more recent. While I watch their shows, I wasn’t super excited that Ghost Adventures or TAPS evidence was cited. Don’t really believe reality shows provide any credible evidence, regardless of how entertaining they are.
In general this was a good mix of paranormal stories. The stories span a long enough time that some of the more recent stories involve places you can still go visit, prices are even offered for some of those locations. There were a few like Amityville and Winchester House, which while interesting, have been documented so many times I feel like adding them to a collection is unnecessary. As with any collection, you don't get enough of the stories you really like and I'm now on to do my own research.
The narrator did a good job. I didn’t notice the robotic tone others did and listened to him quite happily. Since this is told as a matter of fact story and doesn’t involve characters I was quite happy with the narration.

Ghost Stories

If you enjoy ghost stories and the paranormal many if not all of the stories included in this book will be familiar to you. Each of the chapters gives you details on real life hauntings or what people perceive to be ghosts or paranormal activity. Each one gives the listener details about the happenings and the stories behind them. Whether or not you believe these stories are true they still are an enjoyable listen and give you food for thought. This is a good book to start with if you are new to ghost and want to get your feet wet. The author does a nice job of giving the facts and making the stories interesting.

Good selection of real ghost stories

I really liked this book as well as Horror Stories: Terrifyingly Real Stories of True Horror and Chilling Murders. This one has more stories and I found myself researching a lot more in this book than the previous one. Every time I got to work I immediately would look up the house, painting, doll or other thing mention here and do my own research on the topic. If you enjoy the first one then this one is a must have for the collection. I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

Very interesting overall

The content was good and kept my interest, although I wish the book had been longer and gone into greater detail on some of the cases. The narration, however, was very robotic and distracting. It almost sounded like AI. I think a different narrator would have added a great deal to the feel of the book, but all in all I am still glad I gave it a chance!

Don’t listen while driving

I’m not a big fan of horror and so doing it when driving may no have been a good idea. The stories are short. Which sometimes I’m in the mood for especially after listening to hours of fantasy

Great stories

From some I’ve heard of to ones that are new to me a very good book. Stories short enough to not be over complicated but detailed enough to give a good feel for the events
Would highly recommend

Loved these stories!!!!

There is nothing like a good old fashioned ghost story to take your mind off of the state of the world today! Loved how possible other explainations were proposed in this book!

Overall interesting

The majority of the stories in this book I had heard before- Winchester Mystery House, Flying Dutchman, Robert the Doll, Green Briar Ghost, Brown Lady, etc.

They do talk about Amityville, The Entity Ghost, and have some chapters about EVP's recorded on some of the modern ghost shows. So it's not all old timey ghost stories. They even discuss Alisa Lam and a few serial killers are mention. So it's a mix of old and newer stories.

Narrator is pretty good. Occasionally he does sound like a robot, but not all the time. It's not a distraction from the stories.
