Publisher's summary

I was always told growing up in my family, surrounded by magic, that I was a dud. I had no power except the ability to talk to ghosts. It never bothered me because I enjoyed my job as a bartender at my uncle's bar that caters to the supernatural community. I spend my nights working and getting to flirt with my crush.

Then one night, my life turned upside down. Someone was murdered right around the corner and suddenly a hot wizard detective with a perfect bubble butt from MEPA, The Magical Entity Protection Agency, swooped in and asked for my help with the victims' ghosts. Working with the detective soon leads to a race to stop a killer who is bent on exposing the supernatural community to humans with more deaths.

Join Victoria on her journey as she works to stop an evil being with the help from her crush Akira the werewolf, Lucian the wizard, and her ex-boyfriend Shax.

This is a reverse harem medium to fast burn book or a why choose novel.

Sexy & Clever!

You've got mystery + gorgeous men, what more could you want?
Although, I'm more biased towards the Detective.
The end is a HEA, but leaves room for another potential lover for V.

Great start to a terrific series!

A demon, a wolf shifter and a mage walk into a bar. Couldn't help myself and it does happen in the book. The main character starts off feeling small and damaged by family issues. You absolutely want to take her frustrations out on them yourself. The telling however, is a great foundation for the growing feelings of gratitude for those who do love her, and of the self-discovery that blooms as she walks through a series of gruesome murder scenes to come out victorious. Did I mention it's a hot "why choose" novel and they are all in to each other? Ghost Revelations is a glorious combination of hot guys, bloody murders, kick-ass FMC and soul-satisfying romance.

A paranormal reverse harem to get you addicted

This was my first book by Aspen Black and I am hooked. This is the story of Victoria who is the black sheep of her family. But she is special. She can see ghosts and talk to ghosts. In my opinion that is way cooler than having magic. She meets a detective and ends up helping solve a supernatural mystery. Soon she is thrown into a steam romance with not just one mater, but a few more. And there are plenty of steamy scenes to keep you going. And talk about humor. There are so many laugh-out-loud moments. I was so enthralled. I was solving the case with them! I am not spoiling anything! But if you like steamy paranormal romance reverse harem, this will be your jam. This narrator did a great job. I felt like she was Victoria! i can't wait to dive more into this series.

I love/hate that this is a series

This is a new to me author that I decided to read because I've been on a RH binge for about a month now that I've discovered it.

Paranormal romance is my jam, whether that's ghosts, demons, shifters, or vampires. I WILL READ THEM ALL - or listen to them all in this case.

Narrator Rebecca Thompson did a great job with Vic's voice and emotions, will definitely read more books read by her.

Aspen Black did a great job with the book. I loved the dynamic between Vic, Akira, and Lucien. Also, bubble butt detective made me laugh out loud. The steamy scenes are as hot as they should be and everyone has their own personality that I fell in love with. Shax, the ex, stirred things up when he entered the picture and I *may* have said some angry bad words when I thought the book might end on a big cliffhanger - spoiler alert - no huge cliffhanger, but there is still plenty of adventure to explore.

I have such a love/hate relationships with series, lol.

Great start

This book was seriously hot! It is a ménage with some very steamy moments between the characters. Vicky has always been told she’s a dud by her magically gifted family and never been valued by anyone but her uncle and his pack. She’s a bartender and never really had anyone pay any attention to her ability to speak with ghosts until she witnessed a woman’s death and then the wizard investigating the death asks for her help. She gets tangled up in Magic’s she doesn’t understand but she still does her best to try to help people. Akira and Lucien are seriously hot and I enjoyed their attraction even if for Lucien and them it was a bit insta but still very enjoyable. I liked the mystery a lot and figuring out who was murdering people and why. Vicky has to work hard and help or she might just be the next victim. The accents made this even better and brought so much life to each of these characters.

No Duds Here!

I discovered Ghost Revelations in an anthology in 2019. I quickly read the story and loved the idea of a magical community that was integrated but not fully.

The story of Vicki, Akira, Lucian, and Shax is riveting and steamy. If you like action (of all sorts), adventure, and some really good laughs, you’ll enjoy Ghost Revelations!

Entertaining paranormal ménage

I really enjoyed this book. As the first of a series it had good world building and character development to set up future books. There was plenty of steam, fast paced action and suspense. Look forward to seeing what the next book has to show us.

It was alright.

Narration:
Narrator did an okay job with differing the voices. I felt she overacted the FMC a bit and caused some eye rolls on a few occasions.

Story:
Again, just okay. I prefer medium or slow burn books where there is solid character development. This book does not have that organic evolution. Just a preference on style, not a criticism of the author. The one criticism of the writing style is that the author over explains the emotions to ensure the reader gets what she’s trying to convey. That tends to turn me off as a reader.

Just no

I'm sorry but this is just not good. It's poorly written and narrated. The narration is read very slowly and with no emotion. And story is boring. I read about 20% through and then stopped. It's not worth any more of my time. There is just no professional writing standard here. Disappointing to say the least.
