Editorial reviews

Graham Masterson's modern horror tale has touches of the gothic as it revolves around a love affair that isn't what it seems. Gideon is a composer of scores for film and television, as well as catchy jingles, and his successes have allowed him to move into a somewhat affluent New York building. When he moves in he immediately notices the married couple who live beneath him, becomes infatuated with the wife and the two eventually have an affair and run off to Europe. Then strange occurrences begin to happen. Mac Macdonald performs the audiobook, articulating Gideon's perspective with all of his naiveté, creating unique voices for all of the other characters, and relating the uncanny events of death and the afterlife that unfold.

Publisher's summary

The dead cant seek justice can they?

Gideon Lake, a successful composer, is immediately smitten by Kate Solway, who lives below him. They begin a passionate affair, and Kate invites him to Europe so that they can be together without her husband finding out. But when Gideon witnesses all kinds of strange and terrifying events, he soon realises that nothing in Kates world is what it seems. Gideon must work out who, and what, Kate really is, and what she wants from him....
