Publisher's Summary

What's your lucky number?

Lyla Wilder is done being the shy chemistry nerd extraordinaire. While every other college student is out having fun, Lyla is studying. With her cat. Well, she's played it "safe" quite enough, thank you. So she creates a "College Bucket List" - with item #7 being a night of uninhibited, mind-blowing sex....

But she needs some help from her man-whore best friend.

Hockey player Beck Davenport thought Lyla's transformation would be subtle. Man, was he wrong. With every item she ticks off, Beck finds himself growing seriously hot for his sweet brainiac best friend. And if he's not careful, he'll end up risking their friendship in order to convince Lyla that he might just be her lucky #7....

Chemistry in the air

If you could sum up Getting Lucky Number Seven in three words, what would they be?

BFFs Turned Couple

What was one of the most memorable moments of Getting Lucky Number Seven?

The most memorable moment for me would be when when Beck gets on stage to sing at a party to his nerdy BFF.

Have you listened to any of Andi Arndt and Cooper North ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I'm a huge Andi Arndt fan and funnily enough - I bought the book based on the description and was happily surprised to hear her as a narrator. She's always amazing and I love how versatile her voice is. This was my first Cooper North book and he also did great! He too had a versatile voice. They both put emotion into the characters and did a great job.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Subtle Chemistry or the Chemistry of Love. Something with Chemistry since they were both all about chemistry both figuratively and literally.

Any additional comments?

Amazing!!! Reminds me of Sincerely Carter in a way. Bffs turned lovers. Well written with tons of detail and feelings (more R rated with the steamy scenes - not too much detail there but its cute). Beck was the college hockey star. And Lila was the nerdy chemist major. Lila was tired of being called boring, plan and one guy called her ugly in earshot of herself. while her BFF Beck thought she was amazing as is and a great friend. He agreed to help his frumpy friend with the great personality (yet nerdy). He didnt see her in a sexual way and thought it would be easy - but he was wrong. Chemistry from their friendship began to heat up with her new looks. Beck started to see her in a new light and got jealous of other guys attempts to be with her. The story takes an unexpected turn when he agrees to help her with one of her college bucket list items. This book was amazing and well worth the read. Enjoy!

Fun, sexy NA!

Some NA is overly angsty and whiny, but never Cindi Madsen. This was fun, funny, and sexy! Lyla is so endearing and sweet. She and Beck are adorable together and I cheered for them the whole way through. Andi Arndt & Cooper North are wonderful narrators who made this an enjoyable binge-listen that I finished in an afternoon!

College Bucket List

LOVE the book! This is one of the few books I have re-read only a few months after initially reading -the dialog between the characters and the texts back and forth made me laugh out loud while reading. I was really excited to see it was coming out as an audio book so I could listen to the story during my crazy quarantine life.

Lyla is an awesome girl, but she feels a little invisible to guys. When her roommate set her up on a group date at the start of the book and she overheard those mean comments, something inside of me broke a little for her. She didn't deserve that at all. So I don't blame her for wanting to try some new things. So she created her college bucket list. I don't feel like she was changing herself for a guy because she was still the same girl. She changed her clothes, but as she pointed out, she wasn't even sure that what she was wearing before was her style. She just wore it to hide. Lyla is a strong girl, and I don't think she would do anything that she didn't want to do for herself. I loved her journey of self discovery. And of course, I loved her interactions with Beck.

I really enjoyed it. Definitely one of the better new adult romances I’ve read this year. I’d say this book reminds me a lot of “The Deal from Elle Kennedy” Cindi Madsen I find her writing style and story telling engaging. The author did a good job developing the characters and keeping the story interesting. Both characters gave each other the strength to overcome issues they had with them self. It was a really good audiobook.

ITS CUTE MORE YA THAN I LIKE

It's a cute story not one I would listen to over and over but enjoyable enough to get a good review. This is more young adult than I want right now. Narration was excellent.

pretty good

It was a good listen, it wasn't spectacular or anything, but we all know books like that only come once every three months or so

Lucky # 7

A sexy, sweet, and heartwarming story. I absolutely adored this book. And wow!!! Cooper North has a sinful, and sultry voice. I’m going to seek out more audible books narrated by him. Of course Andi Arndt was fabulous as always.

Great Story

I think this is the first book I've listened/read that I liked the female lead better than the male. Lila was funny and smart and just all around a lovely person. She worked so hard to be a new person and have a little more fun in life. It's too bad she didn't find someone better than Beck. Beck was alright. I just thought he came off has a rich, whiny kid with mommy/daddy issues. Although that was the case, it didn't make the story bad, I just wish the author would have made him a little less rich, whiny kid with mommy/daddy issues.
As far as narration goes, I really like Andi Arndt and Cooper North wasn't bad either.

Eh, it was okay

Not a fan of the story line. Too cheesy for me. The narrators did a good job though!

cute story

I liked this book but it is the typical love story... boy meets girl, girl is a damsel in distress, boy is the Knight who comes to the rescue, then boy is the one who needs help and girl saves the day

Story Has Been Done

It was cute book and great performance. But its sounds like the "off campus" series by Elle Kennedy. Which if you like this book definitely read The Deal, The Mistake, The Score, The Goal. They are way better... Way Way Better! I loved the performance.

Fantastic

I love all of Cindi Madsen's book and to
have them coming out on audible is amazing. The narration is good and portrays the chatacters really well. if you like an NA book with gorgeous hockey players with a little comedy thrown in then give it a go. You won't regret it.

Cute but missing something

Very similar premise as The Goal, however this one just lacked the humour unfortunately. Easy to listen and if I hadn’t read the other series first then it may have been rated higher
