Immersed

Just listening to the book while working is a vibe. I enjoyed the book since it went deep into the events that weren't seen in the games.

Nan McNamara blows it out of the water

Loved the writing and Nan’s performance as each gear is not only immersive but accurate.

Good story, not much action

Nam does a great job with narrating, the story itself is good, if a little too “homesteading” for me. I felt like the action that does take place doesn’t have the emotional impact of book one. Overall good read.

Great book in the series

Great writing, Great voice. This series is a good edition to the Gears world.

A title for all gears fans and just overall a good listen.

I have been a long time fan of the gears series both book and game, and feel like the books do the series a great service to the franchise. It's a bit different hearing the voice actor of Anya characterize Cole and Hoffman but she does a great job for her own character and Bernie. Only thing that could be better is having the voice actor for Cole or Marcus portraying their parts but overall quite happy with the narrator.
