Editorial Reviews

Stereotypes are both exploited and defused in Gay from Las Vegas, a Sin City comedy showcase featuring gay and lesbian comedians.

The targets for host Frank Moreno’s raunchy humor include Siegfried and Roy, gays in the military, and female biology. Suzy Berger’s routine is slightly more self-conscious in her exploration of gay comedy’s difference from straight comedy. Mark Davis elicits chuckles from a trip he took to Texas, gays in the Vatican, and his relationship with a phone-sex operator in Scotland (which leads to a hilarious impersonation).

These comedians, all seasoned performers, play in front of a friendly crowd who laugh the hardest at the most politically incorrect comedic jabs.
