Greatness

I was drawn to Kirk’s story while watching the Netflix documentary, “Quarterback.” Honestly, I started the series to learn more about a QB I had the pleasure of watching during college, Patrick Mahomes. I had heard of Cousins, but didn’t know much about his game other than MSU. I’m not an avid NFL guy. However, by the end of the series; despite my guy (PM) winning a Super Bowl, I found myself more drawn to Cousins and wanting to learn more. Oddly enough, he and I are the same age and though our lives are on very different paths, I loved watching him come home after a tough loss, helping his boys with bath time, singing to them and praying with them. That my friend, is a true winner. How many days do we have that it just doesn’t go the way we want. As a father, you just want the best for your kids and you have to find ways to leave the baggage at the door. Boys can win, Men can overcome defeat. In this book he talks about his faith, family, and this game called life. Indeed, it’s a game. Arguably the most important we will “play.” He plays it with such grace, humility, and courage. It’s evident in his life that he “Makes good decisions.” My only regret is that there’s allegedly an expanded version of the book with 3 additional chapters and I can’t find the thing anywhere. At any rate, if I find myself in MN again someday, during football season, I wouldn’t mind my first game to see to be that of the legend of Captain Kirk Cousins, the man.

- A fellow brother in Christ.

Ready for an Update on Story

This was such a great message on conviction. it’s time for Kirk to tell the rest of the story, getting married, having children, playing for Vikings. I especially liked how he gave God credit for guiding him through life. His relationship with Jesus is inspirational,
