Let the drama continue!

This is the second book in the Montana Gallagher Series by MK McClintock, and I definitely feel like I got more out of it for having read Gallagher's Pride first. It was a lovely continuation for the original story and the "war" going on between the Gallagher's and the man who own's the neighboring ranch. The tension intensifies in this book resulting in dangerous and sometimes deadly consequences for the Gallagher family.
In each book you also have a specific Gallagher's romance. This book dealt with Gabriel and Isabelle. Isabelle has come to Montana with her brother to take on the local teaching position after the death of their parents. Gabriel marries Isabelle in order to meet the requirements in her father's will that will keep an aunt from taking the boy. The question is whether or not they will make the marriage a real marriage.
I loved the story, but I also loved the narration by Alan Philip Ormond. Not only is his voice lovely to listen to, but his different inflections for the different characters are great. He also had perfect pacing of the words in telling the story. Loved it!

Whirlwind adventure

Would you consider the audio edition of Gallagher's Hope to be better than the print version?

I always enjoy a good audiobook. I started with book two. I'd like to go back and read books 1 and 3 on my own.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I'd like to get to know more about Eliza. She has spunk and I'd like to get to know her history and her adventure (which I believe/hope will be in the 3rd book).

Have you listened to any of Alan Philip Ormond’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No...not yet, but I'd like to. Mr. Ormond did a nice job with both female and young voices. He has a great "cowboy" voice as well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

absolutely.

Any additional comments?

I received a copy of this audiobook via audiobook blast in exchange for an unbiased review.

Cowboys are real men !

What did you love best about Gallagher's Hope?

I love the way that Gabriel respected his wife and treated here like a lady. He is the type of man all women want to have.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gabriel is my favorite character. He is gentle and kind but has strong emotions and shows deep love for his family.

Which character – as performed by Alan Philip Ormond – was your favorite?

Gabriel's voice was so reassuring and sweet. He always had nice thoughts and sometimes even a little humerous.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book comforted me thinking that even in the old days there were men who knew how to take care of their family and protect them.

Any additional comments?

I started with this book which is the 2nd in the series. Now I need to go back and hear book 1 and then move on to the rest of the books. This book did not "end." It left me anxious to hear the rest of the story.

Book 2 keeps the suspense and romance coming!

---I received this book in return for an honest review.

Book two is even better than book one! How can this be? This audiobook is full of entertainment. The relationship between Gabriel and Isabel, though happening fast was sincere and beautiful. I have to say the relationship between Andrew and Gabriel made my heart melt. Gabriel took this five year old into his life and made Andrew come out of his shell. Love the scenes between them. I also love that even though Ethan and Brenna's story was book one, their characters are still major players in book two. So many times you lose the fluency and consistency as a series continue. Lots of suspense and unanswered questions has me starting book three immediately. I am entrenched in this family and how Eliza and Ramsey will play out, where is Nathan Hunter, what will happen with Elizabeth and her money...so much to resolve, so much has happened.

Again, the narration was amazing! Perfect for this series.

Great series, perfect narrator.

Another great story but I just can not say enough about the narrator. He makes everything come alive. His voice in the tender scenes is wonderful.

Wonderful story and narration

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! I've listened to all three and read the books. The stories are wonderful and the narrator does such a great job bringing the story to life in a new way.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gallagher's Hope?

I love the tender moments between Gabriel and Isabelle.

Which scene was your favorite?

That would be a spoiler! All I can say is that one is sort of an action sequence that involves Gabriel helping Isabelle's younger brother. I just like how chivalrous the Gallagher men are.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were two. One is when Gabriel asks Isabelle if she'll keep him. You have to listen to know what I mean. The other would a spoiler so I can't tell you but I cried.

Listening to Gallagher's Hope as an audio, gave it another level of intensity! I loved reading it, but listening to it, was very interesting and a delight! Also, the narrator, Alan Philip Ormond, really kept me interested until the end. He has the perfect voice for this novel!

What did you like best about this story?

I found this story filled with tenderness and passion. I loved the setting!

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite moment was when Isabelle arrived to Briarwood and met one handsome man named Gabriel, member of the Gallagher Family.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Excellent suspense filled with romance and intrigue!

Almost better than book one, and I loved that one!

Isabel needed help and Gabe was there to do it. The hard part comes when the "help" brings hardship and danger.

The continued story of the Gallagher family does not disappoint! MK McClintock is a master of a great family western. I love the Gallagher family and how imperfect, yet honorable and loyal they are!

Alan Philip Ormond continues his wonderful narration of the Gallagher family. I always smile with I see his name as the narrator as he brings a wonderful storytelling performance with each book he narrates. His characterization was very similar to what my head created when I read these books and that brought listening to this book even more enjoyable.

I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The Montana Gallaghers

I have listened to two of the three audible Gallagher series and have loved them. The story line is compelling and keeps me waiting to learn what is next. I particularly enjoyed Isabel and Gabe's story.
Not a huge fan of the way both books just end without any warning. Definitely not to be read as standalone. No issues with the narration.
