Every disaster brings an opportunity. Goth Sullus and his empire have fallen. With the Legion and the rest of the galaxy watching from the still-smoldering galactic core, Carter, a former legionnaire turned private contractor, and Jack Bowie, a Navy spy with nowhere left to turn, sign up to work for an enterprising private contractor looking to make a statement on the planet Kublar. Story
They were the Savages. Raiders from our distant past. Elites who left Earth to create tailor-made utopias aboard the massive lighthuggers that crawled through the darkness between the stars. But the people they left behind on a dying planet didn't perish in the dystopian nightmare the Savages had themselves created: they thrived, discovering faster-than-light technology and using it to colonize the galaxy ahead of the Savages, forming fantastic new civilizations that surpassed the wildest dreams of Old Earth.

Story
In the 20th century Earth sent probes, transmissions, and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy. As most of the local worlds were too civilized to have a proper army, the only valuable service Earth could provide came in the form of soldiers....

We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

The best military Sci-fi of our Generation
If this doesn't get turned into a realistic movie series in my lifetime someone come find the grave marked "He didn't forget nothing" and wake my sorry legionnaire ass up when it does. This has been one of the greatest series I've ever had the great fortune of stumbling over. More people need to experience the legion's story.

Because THIS!
“You know, I’ve been thinking, guys.” The voice over my L-comm belongs to Aldon Masters. One of my best men. The earnest—albeit sometimes annoying—heart and soul of this kill team. “What are the odds that the Legion actually bought new labels that said ‘radioactive, do not handle,’ and put them on these crates? Because we’ve done this trick a bunch of times, and when I think about it, the stickers have always looked beat-up. But if they were new stickers… they’d look new, right?” Bear, the only one of us with a crate all to himself, answers. “First of all, shut up. And second, they’re supposed to look old. It’s intentional.” “Possibly, possibly,” says Masters, not missing a beat. “Or they just grabbed actual crates that were once used to house incredibly volatile radioactive elements, and now we’re just sitting in a sort of rad soup.” Bombassa, who’s sharing a crate with Masters, says, “Our helmets would warn us of unsafe radiation levels.” “Unless our buckets got fried because there’s so much of it, ’Bassa! The next thing you know we’re all going to start mutating. Or possibly dying. But probably mutating. Like… Bear will become an actual bear. So a little less hairy and drooly.” “Bombassa, will you please shoot him?” says Bear. But Masters is on one of his rolls. “We’ll all become hybrids of who we normally are. Like, Exo will have like a… skull face. And Chhun will be even more boring. And Bombassa will grow twice as tall. And… worst of all, I’ll go from being handsome to being radioactive-super-handsome.” “A skull face would be pretty badass,” says Exo. He and I are sharing a crate. It’s nice to have him back on the team. “But Bear is right. Shut up, Masters.” “You know what?” Masters says. “I won’t shut up. Because, quite frankly, the galaxy is not equipped to handle smoking-hot radioactive Masters.” My legionnaires fill my comm with laughter.

Absolutely incredible!!!
So glad I found this series, it's been an incredible arc since part 1 and each installment raises the bar. Hands down among the top tier of contemporary sci-fi action thrillers. Another outstanding performance by Mr. RC Bray who is, let's face it, nothing less than the standard by which all others are measured, truly he stands in a league of his own. Ainspoch and Cole did not disappoint with this one, like many of the ones you love that came before. Incredible.

Still amazing but...
I loved Imperator. I actually found myself really cheering for Goth Sulus. I suppose that’s the point, and power corrupts. That being said, Prisma...? Really...? She is by far the most annoying character in this story, and it would take a very large amount of character development and growth for me to like her even a little... Can’t power be given to literally anybody else.? Wraith, Chun, hell...make Masters the savior. Skrizz? Lena...? Anybody but her....

This book as ever beautifully voiced by the master, RC Bray. He brings the characters to life, you forget it’s just one narrator.
The characters good and bad all deserve their time and are singularly strong.
The story zooms along with genuine punch and the action is formidable. Well done everyone involved.

Go for Victory
The good thing about falling behind with GE is you get to listen to the books one after another.
This is the story of a hard won victory by a small, tight knit group of legionnaires against overwhelming odds with the loss of one or two good characters along the way. The action, as always, is fast and furious, so if your looking for something sedate, this series is not for you.

Awesome end, But.
It could just be because i dont want it to end, but as i was listning to the last chapters i couldnt help but feel like the book was rushing to the end after painstakingly setting everything up previously. I have resulted to just chalking it up to me not wanting it to end.
Other than that, the book was a wonderful conclusion to everything that happend, but also a terrible reminder at what was lost as the curtians close. The Republic survived worse in the savage wars, but the true question is if things will return to the status quo. Or if the galaxy is about to change drastically with everything that has happend
I give a hearty reccomendation to the ending of Victory squad's endeavours. Atleast as far as we know

Simply Brilliant
The series is amazing and these books continue the trend. Glad the battles are less gratingly ongoing like they were in the previous instalment; still in depth but no longer the same thing for 2 hours which is a definite improvement to overall story flow. Well worth the purchase.

Totally Radical
Galaxy’s Edge has filled the gap in my want for sci-fi! This series has me on the edge of my headphones, I’ve found myself often cheering for the Leej after sequences in the story and have not watched TV in weeks since starting the series. Absolutely killer story and absolutely HOOKED!

Best of Series
Writers really finding the right mix of both styles and just a action packed book. This has provided dozens of plot lines in my head, so can only hope the writers have agreed on one to continue...
