Next level

This book is next level amazing, and Joel’s narration is some of his best. The absolute terror and pain and love... he just emotes it so well. I thought Oz was my favorite by him, but this may have bumped it. And Walker’s went above and beyond with this book. It’s now top of my favorites list.

A difficult but lovely story

I loved Aubrey. He was so delicate yet strong. His journey was such an integral part of the story that I think I was pulled In immediately. I also want to note how important it is to show domestic abuse in a queer relationship, specifically with men. Patrick was a beautiful soul. His kindness and compassion was the perfect fit for Aubrey. As was Hadley. The residents were extremely annoying but I guess small towns are like that?

Bravo!

What a beautiful story of survival and finding your way. I’m so glad I decided to read this one. And of course Joe Leslie was amazing as always!

Beautiful book

I loved the friends to lovers story very much, Patrick is one of the most beautiful characters ever, very kind and sweet and loved seeing how much he cared for Aubrey.
A very romantic book with a happy ending.

heartfelt love story

Kind of cheesy, but in the best way. Characters are uncomplicated, which suits the niche this is looking. I loved the small rural, island setting almost as much as the relationship. The MC's past relationships, for good and ill, are treated gently and with care.
